A shopper asked: Would this board be suitable to kite surf with (dose it have good pop?? and good upwind edge?? Feb 21, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Phillip G: The board has a very mellow edge and a very forgiving rocker line. It does not have nearly as much pop as say a three stage wakeskate or wakeboard. Also, the fins on this board are very minimal/subtle. While I am not a kiteboarder, I would imagine you would need a board with a firm edge hold and a more lightweight material than this board has to offer (wood boards tend to be more heavy/less durable over time). This wakeskate is designed with beginners in mind due it's very mellow feel and design. I would reccomend a board with composite materials and a more firm edge. Feb 25, 2014

Eric C asked: the sizing charts seems to be a black hole with no info. As an uninformed parent how do I size this for my 160# 5 foot 8 inch son? Aug 19, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Matt GStaff: Wakeskate lengths vary in between 39" and 46". Sizing for wakeskates differ from wakeboards drastically because most wakeskaters choose their boards' length by personal preference instead of weight.

I'm 6'4" and 200 lb. and as a novice wakeskate can ride any sized wakeskate from 39" to 46" but tend to stick around the 44" range. Your son will probably like any size, and 41" will do just fine.
