Best Answer: If you look at the picture you'll notice that the egro fit is a loose fit. The spec section will be updated momentarily, thanks for the heads up.

I know nothing about snowboarding gear. I am looking for a pair of Volcom snowboard pants. I have come up with 2 styles: the Carbon and the Ventral. Which would be better suited for the needs of a high school student? This is a Christmas gift and I would like him to be satisfied with my choice.
A shopper on Nov 30, 2014
Best Answer: I got the Ventral because I often go to fairly cold places fro riding. They are of better fabric. They also have a waist adjustment...not sure if the Carbon does. Snowboarding pants take a beating, mostly at the hem because the board has metal edges and will cut the pants (you have to take one foot out of the bindings to scoot across the snow when approaching the ski lift. That foot will usually hit the board). I keep a pair of riding pants for about 4-5 years and then replace them. Get the Carbon to save money, get the Ventral to last longer.

i currently wear the White Sierra snow pants from like 2 years ago, size large. i generally find them to be much too big in the waist, but just long enough. is the fit on these similar? because I'm about 6'3 and its a pain finding gear. basically what I'm asking is whether i would be fine with a size large of these, or should recheck the numbers.
Jake B on Feb 11, 2014
Best Answer: I have a 34 waist, 6'0" and about 210lbs. I got the XL. They look right with the boots and have that relaxed look I like. Haven't ridden with them yet because I just bought them. With the waist velcro, they will stay up.

I noticed the seams aren't taped, how does this affect the waterproofing?
Bruce C on Feb 4, 2014
Best Answer: I just rode deep powder with these pants last weekend and they're awesome! Although they are a really light pant, so you can get cold easy so layer up. Also the waterproofing is good I was just a little wet after my pow day. Hope this helped!

My waist is 32inch and the small on these pants looks like it only goes down to 34inch will this be too big for me?
Wello on Dec 19, 2013
Best Answer: Hello Andrew,

If you look closer at the sizing chart it shows that the size small Volcom Ventral Snowboard Pants actually fit waist from 30-32".
