They Are Just Vans
As expected with almost all Vans shoes that you buy, they will last long, as long as you don't skate everyday with these shoes. I am a skater and longboarder, so I wear through Vans in a few months, where-as other (high price) high quality brands have lasted me longer, significantly. I own these in a neon green instead of blue, and they are definitely attention vacuums. I guarantee if you walk down the street with these shoes in any color (red, blue, green, etc.) You will have at least 3 people stare at your shoes. Again, the soft sole is a major issue found with most Vans shoes, the soft sole means there will be little to no arch support, due to the flex of the sole. The bottom tread of the shoes are also highly vulnerable to getting wear-holes (from riding boards). The top fabric; suede, is a decent grade suede. So these shoes give you a bang for your buck. Just don't expect them to last super long for skating. I mean if you are non-knowing of this problem with Vans, the shoe gets a 4, but if you already know and expect it the shoe gets a 4.5, for functionality. Happy skating
