"Good for Casual Use"
These shoes are fine doing stuff around the house, or hanging out shoes, but other than that they aren't too great. The soles are soft, so when you are using these shoes for what they were created for (skating) the sole wears down quickly. The material; usually suede, used on the shoe is thin, so they are likely to let water in, and when skating, and doing any tricks that involve the board touching the shoe, the material will rip over time (not that long of a time span.) These shoes are fine if you aren't planning on doing much with them.
imo, the best casual sneaker you can get. goes great with everything from shorts to jeans, even suits if you like. These aren't for skating or any other sports for that matter, there just isn't enough cushioning and support. great for short walks or just chilling at the park or lounge. a classic in every sense of the word.
i have these shoes in grey suede and they look awesome and i wear them all the time; to school, out to dinner, on weekends. I've had them for ages and the suede has been very durable. Sometimes though they do pull my sock down off my ankle. overall a great shoe that looks sick.
"Good for Casual use"
These shoes look good and are great for casual use. But I find that the lack of cushion makes me worry about my feet a whole lot more when skating. Also, like all Vans, theres a durability issue. Bottom Line: Wear them around casually, but if you plan on being active, get another shoe.
