The Vans Chukka Low Skate Shoes are a great pair of skate shoes that even the most discerning of skaters out there would be able to appreciate. It uses a very old fashioned style to it, subtly giving off the impression of maturity and a learned nature to the wearer. Not only are they durable and comfortable, they are a great value, appealing to even the most fiscally responsible of skaters out there into buying this grand pair of shoes.
This shoe is better than most Vans shoes. It has the same casual look which has become a Vans staple, and these are pretty good shoes. I personally am an avid skater and longboarder, so I need shoes that are comfortable and shoes that last. The problem with these shoes is that the sole is soft, so after a while it will wear down and then you need new shoes, but until that point (4-5 months, maybe sooner) they are pretty good shoes, I am glad I bought them.
I love these shoes get compliments on them often. In-fact right after I bought them my dad came down to visit my wife and I and he loved them so much that he went into WaveRave and Mammoth and bought himself a pair. Chukkas are always a great and comfy shoe the water resistance is a total added bonus and for me I love having a few pairs of vans that not many people have seen.
This is a great shoe to skateboard in. It has all the qualities someone wants in a skate shoe. Its grippy (waffle grip is the best grip in the industry), Its light, flexible, and durable. It skates very nicely. It fits like all vans do. To me they are a half size bigger than normal. BUt great shoe, great looks, and so many colorways.
I purchased these at a rediculously low price. Even though I am not a skater anymore, these shoes look sweeeeet! The black suede mixed with the brownish/orange leather makes for a great every day'r! Have rec'd more compliments wearing these then with any show in a long time. The grip is phenominal, especially in bad weather. The tongue is super comfy as well, feels thicker than it really is. Profile is really low. The only downfall is that these run about a 1/2 to whole size smaller than others, and they don't seem to have the width that other skate shoes have. Overall, true awesomeness!!!!!!!
I love skating in these shoes. They are light, and have a good grip on the board. They are also more pointy which is great for doing more technical tricks. Durable too, since there is no stitching near the toe it takes soo much longer for them to rip. Not to mention they are stylish and affordable. A must buy
