Dave here at The House talking about one pretty cool snowboard boot called the
Thirty Two 86 Fasttrack snowboard boots. This is the model Joe Sexton likes to ride.
Starting off on the styling, obviously it’s designed to look like a skate shoe. Definitely has a minimalized shell, so you’re not going to get as much toe to heal drag ‘rocking’ this one. From there you roll into their fast track lacing, which is a new feature for
Thirty Two this year. Really, really cool, definitely going to be very quick in and out time with the snowboard boots. It’s nice because you can always ‘rock’ the bottom part really tight, but then you can change the flex of the snowboard boot by ‘rocking’ the upper part looser or tighter. Super easy, you just got two handles, on this one, one’s going to the upper, one’s going to do the lower and when you’re done you just clip them on the side of the snowboard boot, definitely a pretty slick system. It does have a lock out feature too, so versus some other systems, it’s going to stay secure throughout the day.
From there, as always with
Thirty Two, you’re going to have really nice heat moldable liners, even on a price point snowboard boot like this, these things are fully heat moldable, you can just ‘rock’ them right out of the box, and they’ll custom mold to your foot if you wear them around the house, or go shred in them, or you can take them to a dealer and put them on the heat towers, and get it molded a little quicker that way. Laces are going to be on the liner on this one. Definitely, really easy to use hardware on the
Thirty Two stuff. The snowboard boot is going to have a really nice fur cuff to it. Very, very comfortable, going to add some style points. Really good Achilles pocket in the back there, going to give you good heal hold as well. That moves into a level one liner, once again the fur on it, definitely going to be really comfortable, I’ll give you some extra style points for all those people there peering in the depths of your snowboard boots.
