2117 of Sweden Halsingland Softshell Jacket
Great, brought it for my dad who uses it when fishing. Says it does a great job of keeping him warm in windy environments.

Great coat
This coat fits great; very much an athletic fit coat, and even on my long torso. If you layer, this coat is fine for even severe cold. With no layer and a t-shirt fine for spring riding too. My only complaint is it really needs pit-vents. This thing doesn't breathe at all. I have to unzip to let the moisture out on the lifts. Fact is completely windproof/waterproof coats don't breathe. Add the pit-vents and this thing is a solid five stars. I bought it for function, but am getting lots of compliments on the fit and look too.

OK softshell
After owning this for almost eight months now I can say the quality is excellent. However it holds stains so get a dark color. The other big downside to it is the ability to wick moisture from the surface, it holds moisture in between layers instead of repelling it so my undershirt almost always gets wet. During the spring and summer it's great for the weather here in Colorado where at the base of a mountain can be clear and 70 but at the summit close to 30 and windy. So for something to use as a heavy windbreaker or a light rain jacket it is great, for an outer shell or second layer during the winter I wouldn't use it and don't anymore.

Cheap stitching!
I have owned the jacket for 2 months or so and the Velcro on the wrists have unstitched! I have only used my jacket a couple of times for going into accounts. It has been nice until this happened.

Is this jacket warm?
Tim C on Aug 25, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I bought this for my son who's in college. He likes the soft shell jacket because it blocks the wind & it's water proof. He does wear a hoody under it for extra warmth when he is snowboarding. Also the jacket seemed to run small. He usually wears a size large, but he did need an extra large in this jacket. Overall, he really likes the jacket.
Will this be as warm or warmer than a sweatshirt?
A shopper on Nov 28, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Little warmer since it'll break through the wind better and it's a lot more water resistant. Love the material.
