What's the right size board for me? 5'2 117lbs

Best Answer: The 9' Starboard Converse Slick SUP is actually a pretty good fit for you.

I like this board because it isn't as long as other boards I've seen and it weighs less. I am more of a beginner/intermediate and don't really plan on riding waves with my paddle board. I really just want to paddle on the flat ocean water past the waves. Is this board good for me?
Dina B on Jul 21, 2013
Best Answer: The 9' is considered a surf style SUP because of it's short length and its quick maneuverability, but of course you could use the Starboard Converse Slick SUP for paddling past the waves into the flat. However you may want to consider a longer board for touring.

I suggest going with the Startboard Whopper Slick SUP 10', it's a touch longer but it still relatively short. Check it out here >> http://www.the-house.com/starwsls1012zz-starboard-paddleboards.html

Is this board ok for flat water with min waves?
Toronto G on Jul 18, 2013
Best Answer: The short length of the Starboard Converse Slick SUP Paddleboard makes it ideal to get ripping on waves. I have a few friends that actually use it behind a boat as a wakesurfer!
