"A size or two too large"
Pros: Well insulated, Great look, Liner is easy to remove
Cons: This jacket was way too large,
Depending on the brand, my jacket size is usually medium, but medium is sometimes too small for me. I purchased medium expecting that, if anything, this would be too small. However, the jacket fit like an XL, I think that even a small would have been too large for me.

"Great Jacket"
Pros: Warm, Removable Liner, Pockets everywhere
Cons: Heavy, Too big,
This jacket is awesome. There are pockets everywhere and it seems they thought of everything. It fits huge and I'm not sure if a smaller size would fit at all as the arm length seems to be perfect. Thumb holes on the inner sleeve of the jacket make sure your hands stay dry when using under the sleeve gloves. My only complaint about the inner sleeve is that it tends to get caught on the velcro when reaching into a pocket. The removable liner is fantastic. I wear it off the mountain all the time and usually never bother to actually hook it into the jacket. All in all, the jacket is a great buy due to durable construction, pockets galore, easy access to all features, powder skirt, plenty of ventilation, very warm, and looks pretty sweet to top it off.

"Great Coat"
Pros: Pockets for everything,
Cons: none,
Picked up this jacket over the summer cheap. Best jacket i've ever owned. Completely water/wind proof. Very warm with liner in and zips up,(don't even need an under layer on cold days), huge difference with no liner and zips down. Pretty much good for any type of weather or temp.

"warm and good fit"

The only other place you see so much tech is in an iPhone!

"Quality Jacket"
Pros: Quality construction, Durable, Thought of everything
Cons:
686 have done it again with a 15k/10k jacket. Top-notch construction and quality, giving you plenty of options when you're hitting the slopes. Great for warm and cold days, though you may want an extra layer on those extra cold days.
Fully taped seams, fixed hood, pit vents and powder skirt with a removable fleece lining. Features stash pockets in both cuffs (one for a passID, other has a mirror) as well as an internal pocket for a mobile phone and the music player of your choice. The zippers are durable and easy to use although you'll want to be a bit careful when attachingdetaching the smarty liner.

"686 Quality"
Pros: 3 in 1, Tons of feature's,
Cons: A little Heavy,
This is a great Jacket for the money. I have not worn it in snow yet as I just got it a few days ago but it is making me sweat right now. Tons of great feature especially the ease of the liner removal. It is very secure and a nice coat to wear while in lodge. Tons of storage, great jacket all around. So nice that I am going to buy a new pair of 686 pants. GREAT JOB SIERRA!!! Would be nice to get some vids of products up.If I have to go to another site to see them it would be almost as easy to buy them there. And hey, how about accepting paypal? That is always a sweet way to go.

"Good Jacket"
Pros: Removeable Liner, Good Size, Warm
Cons:
I baught this jacket for a mate. And my mate is very happy with it... The inner liner comes out so you can wear it on the warmer days, and it can keep you warm on the cooler days... The waterproofing and windprotection he says are awesome, and there's plenty of pockets.

"Very good jacket"
Pros: warm, waterproof, good in all conditions with removable liner
Cons: yet to find any,
I bought this jacket and so far i have been very pleased with it. It is waterproof and warm and has alot of features like pockets (including one for your ipod). The liner works well on the colder days and the jacket works well without the liner on the warmer days. All in all it is a very nice jacket and i would recomend it to any one thinking about buying it.

"Awesome jacket"
Pros: Great fit, Heaps of features, Very waterproof
Cons:
I'll say first up that i am a fan of 686 gear after getting a Radiate jacket earlier in the season. I was tempted by the insane prices on here and convinced myself that i needed another so grabbed a Black Ballast in L.
Sizing between this and the Radiate is a little different. The radiate in large fits well but is not overly baggy. The ballast on the otherhand seems a bit baggier. Sleeve length seems the same. For reference, I am 60' and weigh about 210lbs. I'd say i have a solid build - certainly not fat.
Features of this jacket seem to be the same as the Radiate - same materials, same pockets, mirror, ipod holder, cards provision etc. Probably the biggest difference is in the liner - the Ballast liner does not have a hood whereas on the Radiate it does. Regardless of hood or not, its great having a removal liner as it gives the jacket much more versatility on the mountain.
The black looks awesome with the Mocha Plaid Index pants too. I highly recommend this jacket!
NB. I've seen the green in store and would not recommend it.

"Great jacket, but big, like all 686 stuff"
Pros: Good if you like a big baggy, long fit., Quality construction and fabric,
Cons:
Nice jacket. Great feature set, like the inner sleeve thumb holes that are non-restrictive, but keep snow from headin up your arm.
