Burton Hot Pockets BootsThis one’s for you, ladies. It’s no secret that women’s feet get colder on the mountain than guys. Why? Possibly because their feet are too pretty to smell and sweat like their BF’s. At any rate, select women’s Imprint™ liners are built to accommodate a disposable toe warmer! How awesome is that? Just slip one of the included Little Hotties® toe warmers into the neoprene sleeve on the top of your foot and feel the heat all day long. The best part is that you can’t even feel the warmer in your boot. It’s a seamless fix for cold feet. Keep those toes warm and happy with the Bootique and Emerald snowboard boots.

The neoprene sleeve on the liner holds the warmer perfectly in place on your foot to keep it nice and toast on those less than comforting days.

The name of this insanely awesome outsole tech pretty much says it all. The comfort, cushioning, support and response is pretty much the next best thing since snowboarding was allowed at ski resorts. If you’ve never had leg cramps or had to rip your boots off mid-run to give your feet a breather, you’re lucky… Ill fitting boots without much thought into ergonomics, design or foot structure shouldn’t even be legal. Seriously. Burton boots with Holy Shit Outsole tech will seriously blow your mind. Multiple EVA midsoles provide optimized cushioning – a dense one for lateral support and a soft one for medial support. Your ankle will naturally roll while providing the perfect amount of support. If you’re ready for some life changing snowboarding boots, go with the Hail boot.

The Holyshit Outsole cardinal cushioning provides support, response and ergonomics in amazing ways. A primary midsole promotes toe to heel response, support and cushioning. Beneath that, a secondary dual density EVA midsole uses a more dense EVA for lateral support and a softer, more cushioned EVA for medial support that allows your foot to  roll naturally reducing stress on your joints and ligaments.

For a more direct connection with your board, Burton looks beyond bindings. They’ve learned that boot soles also play a crucial role in much board feel and control is humanly possible. Boots withe EST Optimized Sole technology have a lower ramp angle make them ideal for sliding rails, boxes, landing jibs – AKA park riding. While most boots are slightly angled for all mountain riding, it’s not necessary or ideal for all day jib missions. EST Optimized Sole boots are also have a lower profile, thereby making them lighter weight. They literally bring the rider’s center of gravity closer to the board and improve board feel. Thanks to B3 gel cushioning in the heel, cushy dampening for all day comfort won’t be compromised. Sound like a good fit? Check out the Ambush, Ion, ImperialHail, RampantTyro, Axel, Bootique or Emerald.

The EST Optimized EST sole improves feel and control and lowers your center of gravity. The low profile, lightweight and reduced ramp angle is combined with the ultra dampening B3 gel inserts for no sacrifices to your cushioning.

For the ultimate climate control in your snowboard boots, Burton Dryride Hyperwick™ will prevent your feet from getting swampy, while keeping them toasty from first to last chair. We all know about waterproof and breathable jackets, right? Yea, they’re pretty sick. How about the same technology on your boots? Burton is the first snowboard boot company to make it happen. Dryride Hyperwick™ is sort of the top of the line tech jacket for your feet. The toe box of the boots have a mesh panel that draws moisture away from  your feet. The moisture then evaporates through a waterproof, breathable shell membrane. Larger water droplets on the outside of your boots cannot penetrate the membrane, so your feet will stay dry and warm for all day long comfort. Give your feet the luxury of being warm and dry with the Ion or SLX snowboard boots.

Dryride Hyperwick™ mesh in the toe box of the boot both insulates and regulates warmth by pulling heat robbing moisture away from the skin, then evaporating it through a waterproof, breathable shell membrane. Like a one way door, the microscopic pores of this membrane allow moisture vapor to escape, while water droplets from the outside can’t enter. A first of it’s kind for boot design, Dryride® will keep your feet drier and warmer so you can ride longer.

Thin crust vs. deep dish. Skinny jeans vs. straight leg. Eat in or eat out. While one isn’t necessarily better than the other, we human beings are pretty out spoken when it comes to preferences. There’s a snowboard for nearly every personality and style under the sun. When it comes to boots, sure they all fit a little different, but what about how they lace up? Or how they don’t lace up? For riders who like to get in and out of their boots pretty fast with a twist of a dial, Burton has you covered with a Speed Dial system integrated into select models.

Have you ever been on the lift and think, “Ugh, I have to fix my boot at the top.” Once you get to the top, adjusting your boot involves loosing up the whole boot, then tightening as desired and tying or locking the laces. By the time you’re done, your friends are already out of sight. Burton Speed Dial Lacing allows you to micro-adjust your boots without having to unlace and start all over again. Simply twist the dial to tighten those babies up. To release, just pull on the dial top loop. It’s so easy. For the ladies, check out the Bootique and Chloe. Guys, choose from the Jet Boot and Tyro.

Burton’s micro-adjustable self ratcheting speed dial lacing system saves time by letting you tighten or loosen the fit without starting over. Exit is easy with a quick pull of the dial top loop. The New England ropes designed lace offers performance that is smoother and stronger for easier adjustment and longer life.

Snowboard graphics and a dope snowboard jacket can certainly make or break your level of happiness when it comes to snowboarding. However, any retail employee or person in the snowboard industry will agree that boots should be the first piece of gear purchased. From there, select your board, bindings and outfit. Boots that are poorly constructed with leave you aching (no pun intended) for a better day on the slopes.

Burton’s Crossbone Cuff technology is well thought out and totally dialed for freestyle riders. The articulating cuff allows the upper part of the boot to move independently of the lower portion. When the knees are bent to flex the boot (as in carving, gaining speed, etc.), the articulating cuff prevents the sides of the boot from creasing. A boot that doesn’t flex properly is likely to cause hot spots on the sides of your lower leg and will eventually become extremely uncomfortable. The Crossbone Cuff creates a perfect balance of mobility and stability. The pressing power and pop associated with Wing Backed high backs can alone be felt with the Crossbone Cuff technology.

In addition to the articulating cuff, Jumper Cables run vertically on the sides of the boot, which give the boot lateral support. If popping off of a wind lip or tail sliding a box is your idea of a fun day on the mountain, then look for Burton Snowboard boots with Crossbone Cuff Tech like the Rampant.

The Crossbone Cuff balances the free flexing mobility of an articulating cuff with the lateral support of ultra light Jumper Cables. The benefits of more ollie pop and pressing power associated with Winged Highbacks are brought to the boot itself. Riders are able to easily able to power up the tip and tail without sacrificing freestyle freedom and mobility.

If you ride boots bigger than size 10, you are typically limited to boards with wider waists to avoid toe drag. Burton has reached the point where many of its boots’ footprint is now a full size smaller. For example, a size 10.5 now has the profile of a 9.5, and you can fit into a medium versus large binding. For riders on the edge of needing wide boards, this opens up a whole new set of options.

Burton achieves this lower profile by removing any gaps between the liner and shell, and custom molding every liner to the shells at the factory for a glove-like 1-to-1 fit. They are also using thinner, more resilient materials in the toe and heel of the boot to reduce overall boot volume. The result is a lighter, more nimble boot that doesn’t waist unnecessary space, like Burton’s Imperial.

Burton Snowboards History:

It was the 60's and Jake Burton Carpenter was one of thousands of kids to get hooked on the Snurfer, the first known form of modern snowboarding. While it may have been a toy, Jake saw the possibilities of doing something different. When he saw that no one was really doing anything to promote or improve the Snurfer, Jake began making and riding the first true snowboards. In 1977, the world's fist snowboard factory was begun in Londonerry, Vermont.

In the first few years, snowboarding struggled as a sport. Ski areas were reluctant to open up to snowboarders and Jake had to lobby hard to get some local areas to agree. The slow but sure opening of eastern ski areas led to growth for the sport and became a major factor in Burton's product innovation.

Burton is now the leader in snowboards and snowboarding equipment and apparel. It is the most sought after and prestigious brand on the slopes and is the ride of choice for many of the world's top snowboarders, including Olympic champion Shaun White. The Burton team doesn't just use the products they develop, they feel responsible for them. Burton innovation, quality, and that elusive "leadership” are what make Burton the premier snowboard brand that it is today.

Burton Snowboarding boots are the critical link that translates the slight weight changes and pressures from your feet to the snowboard, thus making snowboarding the tremendously popular and fun sport that it is.
