Best Answer:As far as the type of wood I am not to sure. However, the board is relatively stiff and does not have much/ if any spring to it. Once while braking with the tail it ground a little more than I thought necessary (I'm used to short boards that take a beating). Overall the price of the board cannot be beat and it is a sturdy well-rounded cruiser board. Hope this helps! Cheers.
The board is not flexible. I'd be wary purchasing this; mine arrived completely warped. That being said, it is rideable and is a great value. If you're looking for spring, this may not be the board for you. It's not bad for crushing and it has a tail for maneuverability, but it isn't springy.
I don't know exactly what kind of wood it is, but it isn't super springy and bouncy if that's what you're asking. I don't know if that is something that comes as you break it in or not, but I don't think so. Not super bouncy.
I bought this skateboard for my 9 year old son and he has not been able to use it as we live in a high rise and its not skateboard friendly. So I am sorry I won't be able to answer your question. Sandy
