Salomon Skis began humbly in the soul of the French Alps, the birthplace of modern alpine skiing, Annecy, France, in 1947. It was the product of the dreams, labor and efforts of Francois Salomon, his dedicated wife, and their son, George, who—at the time—likely never expected that the company they had started would one day go on to be a worldwide leader in skis, ski equipment, and everything needed for adventurous sportsmen (and women) to immerse themselves in the world of skiing. Finally, ski enthusiasts across the globe can conquer the challenges nature places before them! Francois and his family would go on to develop their offerings and perfect their art as the years passed through expanding from their initial creation of groundbreaking ski bindings and using their innovative talents to create and manufacture equipment that, in many ways, would revolutionize the industry and usher in a new era in alpine skiing.
Now, more than 65 years later, it’s clear that Salomon
has remained dedicated to being a leader in the industry, not for the sake of bragging rights “though they have every reason to brag” and not just for the sake of making money. No, their dedication has always, first and foremost, been to their commitment to skiing, those who love it, and those who’ve only discovered life on the slopes.
As time has passed, Salomon has gone from making their first pair of revolutionary bindings to a wide range of ski and outdoor equipment essential to the winter sports. Today, Salomon also offers the finest in bindings
, and ski packages
, and the toasty warm and functional ski jackets
, and clothing
needed for fun on the mountains, trails, and wherever one’s sporting interests take them. Race down the slopes at high speeds as you hit up the back trail! Salomon has your back when you’re in search of wintertime fun.
While their product line has expanded widely over the years, Salomon has never wavered in their commitment to being the most innovative and reliable ski and outdoor sporting goods maker in the world, without ever forgetting their roots in the French Alps.
