You can really surf the streets when you have the smooth rolling retro design of the Lost Wipeout Cruiser underneath you. With a durable maple board featuring a large kicktail and a concave deck, this cruiser skateboard provides stability and control and with urethane wheels and Abec 3 bearings on the responsive metal trucks, you can bomb hills with confidence and roll right over rough pavement. The clear grip tape shows off the throwback deck art that pays homage to the legendary Windansea Surf Club in Southern California.

BEST ANSWER: This is a very small board and would not be the easiest board to learn to skateboard on. If he wants to learn to Ollie, or ramp and street skate look at the complete boards shaped like a pill that are 7.5 or 8" wide. If he just wants to learn how to kick and go from point a to b look at cruiser boards that are 30-38". Bigger and rounder makes for an easier board. The long boards that are skinny are for downhill, which is probably not what 11 year old wants.
