Born from Burton Snowboard's team Roundtable process, riders met in 1998 to discuss the development of a new footwear brand that would be an alternatice to skate and running shoes. Significant emphasis is put into R&D to develop a proprietary last/fit. The result was an ultra-comfortable, anatomically correct Gravis Perimeter Support Footbed - which is still used in Gravis shoes today.
