Key Features of the Sessions Star Snowboard Pants:
Just bought this jacket for this season and I love it. It's very warm I usually wear a thermal or two under it and that's pretty good for mild days (but for cold days I'd go with a shell overtop or at least more baselayers). Didn't think I'd actually use the built in mittens but they're great for just wearing around on cold days and whenever you don't feel like putting gloves on. I'm 5'11 about 155 lbs and the large fits well. A little baggy but not huge.
When I received this softshell, I noticed the nice bright colour it had (krypto green) and the feel of the material was nice. Felt waterproof. I wore it out during heavy rain for the first time the other day, and it kept me so dry, water was just beading off this jacket! I tried it on the first time, and zipped it up and noticed that it seemed a bit of a smaller medium. I was actually expecting it to be a little loose after reading some reviews. I usually wear medium for everything, and this seems a tad smaller than normal, but it still fits me. Maybe I just have to lose my gut... haha! Also, being from Australia, all of our jackets have the zipper on the left side, so this jacket was perfect for me! The first time I wore it out, lots of people were complimenting me with the jacket and said it was really nice. The built-in mittens are nice to have as an alternative to not having to bring gloves with you. Its fleece on the inside keeps it soft and warm. My friend keeps asking me if she can have it, but I'm holding on to this! Overall I am happy with this purchase
So essentially this is just a water resistant hoodie. Which is nice but nothing special. But they added a feature to the sleeves, they have a pocket for your fingers and thumb pocket that you can pull out. You do look slightly like a ninja turtle in bright green when you have your hands in the gloves, but who doesn't love a ninja turtle? The jacket is quality and I used this thing all the time last spring for boarding the warmish days, don't even need extra gloves, just slide your hands in the built in pockets and you are ready to go. I personally hate having gloves on those warm days and this jacket provides a nice solution. It's also really nice to have on those freezing days off mountain when your hands are cold and it's raining. It has a big hood and sheds water nicely
This sweater fits just a bit big but it's a great sweater. You can wear a regular sweater under this one and have no problem on an above zero day...It's also quite wind resistant for those windy lift rides!
I love this sweatshirt. It's very warm, but still not too warm, so you can wear it as a hoodie. Although I would not recommend it to ski on a very cold day, it's still very wind resistant, waterproof, and the mittens inside are just amazing. Looks cool too
This is my go to hoodie when I just need something to slip on real quick but will still look good. I also wear it as an underlayer when I board so if I get hot I just take off my coat and this thing suffices. It turns water decently and is overall a nice buy.
I have had this jacket for a year now, and not only does it perform well for boarding, but I wear it on rainy days to keep the rain off. I run a little hot, so a full jacket can be too much if it is not that cold out. This jacket was perfect on those warmer days. Built in gloves are nice if it gets too cold. I forgot my gloves one day, and just used the built in ones. It was not ideal but, my hands stayed warm all day
My friend rides this jacket every time we go out. It's a really nice all around jacket with a good price. You can rock just a sweatshirt under it and be perfectly fine even in the peaks of Whistler. The only problem with this jacket is everyone has it so good luck being spotted in a crowd of people.
This was my first softshell jacket I have used and I loved it. It was real warm on the cool spring days and it fit me really well. If you were going to wear this on a really cold day I would recommend wearing something over it this is more of a jacket for when it gets a little warmer. The built in mittens I think are awesome, they help keep your hands warm and they look sweet too. This is a great jacket that I recommend
Just got it in the mail about a week ago and I'm glad I decided to go with a softshell instead of always just wearing a normal sweatshirt.. This softshell has a sick design but it's a little thin and when I say that, I mean it's not as warm as some of the other ones I've borrowed from friends. I don't know if all softshells are like this, none of my sweatshirts are, but the zipper is on the left and it takes a little while of getting used to if you don't have any other like it
I would wear this guy indoors or under a bigger coat, not the warmest hoodie but maybe on a nice day when you're riding hard and workin up a sweat to keep you warm. Stylish so I would buy it for school or anything like that
