  • "Epic jacket!"

    Pros: Design, Features, Cons:

This jacket is just epic! I purchased the one with the orange stripes and it definitely sticks out in the crowd - like nemo. No problems with the waterproofing with this jacket. I am a little concerned about the warmth it provides though. I usually prefer a very thick jacket that guarantees warmth even at zero degrees, with extra layers of course. But I've only been able to test it on a warm Colorado day, 20-40 degrees, and it did its job. I'm probably just being picky. It's rated 6 / 2 on the warmth scale out of 10, 6 with the attached vest, 2 without. Coming from a Columbia jacket, this jacket packs a lot of features for snowboarders. The season pass holder behind the middle zipper flap is a plus. The vest blocks one of the inner pockets when attached, but there's also another pocket you'll have access to on the other side with the vest on - which is nice for my iPod. The jacket mittens you can unstrap is kind of unnecessary for me because you won't be able to use your snowboarding gloves and the mittens at the same time - it's too small, but they fold away nicely. Overall, a great purchase! I definitely recommend!
