Best jacket yet
Over the years I've been filtering through different clothing companies trying to find the perfect jacket for me. I can honestly say after trying out this unit jacket my search is done. It fits snug around the waste so you don't look/feel like a balloon going down the mountain. It's very non restricting to movement in all directions as well. I'd highly recommend this jacket to anyone I come across.

This jacket is beautiful and Special Blend was an outstanding brand. It's unfortunate Burton bought them out.

Wondering about size. I'm about 6' 185lbs. Can't decide between medium and large? I do not like my jackets super Baggie, but would like room for a sweatshirt if need be. Thanks

I'm 5'11 175LBs. Wondering what size jacket I should get? I don't like it super baggy, but I would like room for a sweater just in case!

Best Answer: Last year I ordered extra small for my son who was 5'5". Now he is 5'9" and it doesn't fit. That probably doesn't help you much. He's 13 now and very skinny and tall so the jackets are very baggy on him but his shoulders are broad so I can't go any smaller than a medium. This jacket is just a shell so you will need layers!

Was just wondering how warm the Special Blend unit snowboard jackets are. On some sites they have scores posted out of 10. Is it an outer shell jacket or a warm one?
Tristan Zobel on Jul 23, 2013
Best Answer: I have the homegrown jacket and have used it most of the 2013 season. While it is just a shell, with a longsleeve turtleneck I was kept warm after a couple of runs. Oregon can see some crazy weather on the mountain and I had no problem staying warm during anything.
