Delia T: Last year I ordered extra small for my son who was 5'5". Now he is 5'9" and it doesn't fit. That probably doesn't help you much. He's 13 now and very skinny and tall so the jackets are very baggy on him but his shoulders are broad so I can't go any smaller than a medium. This jacket is just a shell so you will need layers! Deanna P: I purchased this jacket for my son about a month ago. He is 5 ft. 11 inches and 175 pounds and the Large fits him perfectly. This jacket is high quality at a reasonable price--he is very pleased with the quality of the jacket. Nov 30, 2013

THOMAS V: They seem to be a slimmer fit than my last jacket. I am 5'9 180LBs. And I'd say I can fit some layers under it to keep warm. I bought a LARGE. Hope this helps. Nov 30, 2013

Paul M: A large should be comfortable with room for a sweater. 5'10" 220 lbs wearing an XL and I have enough room for a couple of sweaters and my broad shoulders. Nov 30, 2013

Tristan Zobel asked: Was just wondering how warm the Special Blend unit snowboard jackets are. On some sites they have scores posted out of 10. Is it an outer shell jacket or a warm one? Jul 23, 2013

Paul M: I have the homegrown jacket and have used it most of the 2013 season. While it is just a shell, with a longsleeve turtleneck I was kept warm after a couple of runs. Oregon can see some crazy weather on the mountain and I had no problem staying warm during anything. Aug 12, 2013

Nina G: The Jacket is perfect for sunny days on the slopes and is plenty warm. If your riding under temperatures below 10 degrees F, I would where a long sleeve or pullover under it. Otherwise I love the jacket! Aug 12, 2013

Matt GStaff: The Special Blend Unit Snowboard jacket is a pretty well insulated jacket, it has 60g of insulation in the body and 40g in the arms; it's far from a shell jacket. Jul 24, 2013

Mason L: You will definitely need to wear a warm hoodie underneath it. Aug 15, 2013

Delia T: It's an outer shell. You have to layer with fleece underneath. Aug 12, 2013
