Dave Says

Dave McCall, talking about the super lavishly opulent Special Blend Lifty snowboard jacket. This thing's got it all.
It's 10,000/ 10,000 for waterproof and breath-ability. Basically, it would be pretty similar to a one layer Gore-Tex garment. The first number in that is going to represent the waterproofness . Say you take a cylinder of the shell fabric, push it below water, it's measuring how far it goes below the water before the pressure permeates through the fabric. As far as the breath-ability goes, they're just measuring how many grams of sweat can escape the garment in a given hour. So, 10,000/ 10,000, like I said, a really good rating.
From there, you've got a really, really nice, durable shell fabric. You've got critically taped seams on this one, so shoulders, arms, stuff like that, stuff that receives the direct moisture is going to be protected. Other cool features, you've got a ton of pockets and a ton of ways to access them. Nice and billowed too, so you can fit a lot of stuff in there. From there, you do have a removable liner to this one, as well, too, which is pretty cool. You can rock that just casually and then slip the snowboard jacket on later on. It does zip in and out.
From there, you've got a nice meaty pocket. You do have a powder skirt on this one. It's nice because it kind of stows off to the side when you're not using it. Most won't do that. From there I thought I was going to see an I.D. pass. I guess they don't have it on the ones that have the liner system. The hood is going to be adjustable. So, if you're wearing a helmet you can let it out. If you're not you can cinch it back, keeping it out of the way while you're doing spins, and stuff like that.
The liner snowboard jacket actually does have the hood as well, too. Other than that, like I said, just a really clean looking piece. You've got some embroidery detail, SB logo on the back there. The Special Blend is going to run a little bit larger fit than some of the other stuff out there. Pretty equivalent to a Burton garment, or what not. And finally, you do have the pit-zips, which are going to let the funk free. Just on those warmer days, a nice way to dump some heat. Special Blend Lifty snowboard jacket, it's a good great buy.
