more of a comment. These boots fit the NNN system, not the NNN-BC system. Could the description of "Backcountry compatible" may mislead you into buying the wrong binding?

BEST ANSWER: The OT portion of the X5 name stands for Off Trail to indicate the boot is very good for those who do not typically ski in prepared tracks or ski not at all in prepared tracks. The skis used touring skis as opposed to back country skis which feature metal edges. All boots with the BC designation such as the BC X6 are NNN-BC system compatible boots. Any boots with the OT designation are touring boots. Sorry for any confusion.
