according to our XC guys.. yes you can.
What are the X-Country bindings called where you have the option to also lock down the heel?
RipTide on Mar 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Touring Auto combi binding is a classic binding for striding classic technique where the heel is free.

A binding with the ability to lockdown the heel is an AT binding and is used with a boot that is generally stiffer for use in turns while going downhill on steeper terrain. Tends more toward alpine skiing technique.
do these bindings work with skis that has the nis plate?
andyk on Dec 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: yes, the NIS version of this plate will work on any ski that has an NIS plate
