Comfortable, warm, light-weight, well made
Pros:
Well made

Good price

Nice array of features

Kept me warm at Snowbird in sunny 25-35F weather

Lightweight

Cons:
Sized a little big? I normally wear medium t-shirts and large sweaters/hoodies. I got this coat in a medium and it still seemed a little big after wearing it for a day or two.

Mini-Pocket for phone is only sized for an ipod. My android phone would not fit in it. The zip pocket fit my phone just fine.

The buttons don't always snap tight on the front of the jacket and the magnet that keep the wind flap closed over the zipper at the top of the jacket doesn't have enough strength to keep it closed.

I bought a Ride Jacket a few years ago and it has treated me right and so has The House which I've been buying from since the 90's

Two Questions:
1) How is the fit, lengthwise?
2) Are their any additional pockets on the inside of the jacket (other than the phone pocket)? I usually carry a Beanie and a turtleneck/face mask with me, and I'm hoping there are good pockets to keep these items in.

Best Answer: The length goes a few inches past my butt but not to my mid thigh, basically where my finger tips are and i'm about 5'10" with average arm length. The inside pocket is pretty big but the two lower pockets on the outside are actually four. it has two per side that are on top of each other if that makes sense. both of these pockets are good sized and I don't think you would have a problem carrying both a beanie and turtleneck/facemask. I've been in all kinds of weather from rain to -0 and I have been really happy with this jacket.I hope that this helps.

Does anyone know how warm this jacket is? I'm looking for a warm jacket without having to wear a bunch of layers.
A shopper on Jan 12, 2014
Best Answer: The Ride Sodo Snowboard Jacket is warmer than the average technical shell snowboard jacket because of the 80g of Poly Insulation.

If it gets really cold you'll have to use some layer. CHeck out the layer options below...

Hoodies: http://www.the-house.com/tshi-h.html

Mid Layers: http://www.the-house.com/flee-view-all-fleece.html

Base Layers: http://www.the-house.com/first.html

If you're looking for jackets that you won't have to layer underneath in really cold (-20) temps check out the Down Jackets HERE: http://www.the-house.com/mens-down-snowboard-jackets.html

I'm 5'11, 180lbs and very muscular build with wide arms and shoulder span. Chest size is 41" and waist is 32". Should I order a L or XL based on the fit of this jacket? Im not searching for a tight fit, but also not looking for a fit like Special Blends "freedom fit". Something in the middle.
A shopper on Dec 18, 2014
Best Answer: Hi,
These Ride Sodo Jackets are a regular fit meaning that they will not be too baggy or too fitted. Based on your measurments... I would go with the L.

Will the black concrete melange color ever be available in medium?
A shopper on Nov 17, 2014
Best Answer: Hi,
This Ride Sodo Jacket is a previous years model. We cannot reorder it, and as a result what you see is all we will have.

I am often in the middle between mens M and L when it comes to jackets. Does Ride or this jacket specifically run larger or smaller than avg snowboard jacket sizes?
Dylan K on Jan 2, 2014
Best Answer: Hello Dyland,

Every company has a different set of standardization for sizing. If you haven't already, take a second to look at the SIZING CHART link that is located above the green Add to Cart button. The sizing chart will help you select the Ride Sodo Snowboard Jacket size you need with your specific measurements.
