I purchased this jacket for myself and absolutely love it,I get lots of compliments on it. Its a longer length, falls about mid thigh on me ( I am 5'6 ). Its not bulky at all,yet warm and comfortable. I wear it while running errands when it is really cold and also wear it snowshoeing. Couldn't be happier

Why did you choose this? Store
Because the jacket I had originally ordered was sold out apparently, although it was not listed as sold out at the time I placed my order. This jacket is nothing like the one I had attempted to purchase but was as close as I could find even remotely near the price range of the first.

How thick is this jacket compared to a parka? Is this truly ideal for snowboarding? First-timer here! :)

Best Answer: This jacket is extremely THIN. I will be using it as a Fall/Spring (In Wisconsin) Jacket. It seems to be waterproof- so good in the rain. But I do not think it would be good for snowboarding, unless temperatures were above freezing.
