Sweet jacket, Great Price!
I bought this jacket for my husband for Christmas. I picked this jacket because it came in a 2xl, and looked like it was something he would wear. When I got it in I was a little nervous because it seemed too thin to wear on a mountain in the middle of winter in the Northeast. But, I gave it to him and let him make the decision. He loves it. So far it has been plenty warm for him. The fit is big, probably could have gotten away with an xl, but he decided to keep it and deal with its largeness. The jacket is long, part of Rides style, but also their is a lot of room in the jacket for layers, even in the shoulders and arms where my husband normally has jacket issues are roomy and comfortable in this jacket. Some of the things he loves about it are the thumb holes in the sleeves to keep them down in gloves, the pockets are large enough for goggles, walkies, and everything else you need to bring to the mountain. The hood fits well over a helmet.

What is a technical shell?

Best Answer: It's just the outer shell. Water and wind proof. Needs to be worn with a sweater or other clothing items to keep you warm. It's nice cause it gives you the option to remove layers when it's hot on the mountain but still want water and wind proofing.
