Dave Says

Dave, here at The House, talking about a snowboard boot that I've been selling, pretty much, the whole time that I've worked here, and it's been a while. Nine years. You're looking at the Ride Orion snowboard boots. Super good bang for the buck. It's from their Foundation Collection. It's going to be really good for that beginner to intermediate all-mountain rider. A lot of bang for the buck, here, for sure.
Starting off, as always, Ride snowboard boots are going to be really short, toe to heel, really low in their volume. So, you're going to get less toe drag with them. This one has, kind of, the skate saddle sole going on to it. It's their cut and buff sole. It's got the exposed EVA mid-sole, running to a full rubber sole. Good grip on icy, hard-pack terrain. From there, you've got a traditional lace system, with nice lace hooks at the top. Three D molded tongue on this one. It's going to, definitely, you know, mold up, or fit good up to your shin and the top of your foot. It's not going to deform when you put the pressure on the laces. That's about it for the outer of that one.
The liner on this one. You're looking at their Plush foam liner. Super, super comfortable. Very plush, as the name implies. But, it is heat moldable. Even on their lower end snowboard boots, they're going to put in a heat moldable liner that will custom mold to your foot. These are body heat active, so just wear them right out of the box, walking around the house for two or three hours, two or three nights in a row, and Bam!, you've got a mold of your foot, specifically. J-bars put on this one. It's going to, definitely, help give you a better heel hold. Along with the deep angle pocket, they, definitely, keep you from moving up and down. Three D molded tongue on the liner, just like on the snowboard boot itself. I love Ride's hardware for the lacing system. It's super easy to use, and then, when you're done, it locks right into the liner, keeping it in place, keeping it from slipping down underneath your ankle strap. From there, super, awesome, basic insole, perforated. That, along with the Aegis coating is going to keep the snowboard boots smelling fresh for many years to come.
The Ride Orion snowboard boot. Bang for the buck. Awesome.
