Dave here at The House and I’m going to talk about the
Ride BigFoot snowboard boot. As the name implies, it’s intended for people with really large feet. This here is a size 16; pretty much the only snowboard boot in the market that’s going to be offered in that size. They do a good job with it though, not just a low-end price point snowboard boot, it’s got a lot of tech that goes into it.
Starting off, got traditional lace system, with speed hooks at the top, definitely nice simple lacing system. From there, it does have a little flex panel right there, it’s going to help from the snowboard boot to forming, when you’re bending your knees, what’s your doing when your riding. The sole on this one is going to be like a skate shoe, it’s a cut and buff outsole. It’s going to be all rubber, really good grip on ice or on the snow. Definitely kind of designed to look like a skate shoe on that one. It does have very short toe to heal length versus the other non-existent size 16 snowboard boots on the market. But, it basically size 16 would be like a size15 in other brands, you get less toe or heal drag.
That moves into the interior of the outer. You got a 3D formed tongue. Really, really nice, it's going to form up good around the shin. It’s going to not deform when you tighten up the laces. And this one will actually have a lace harness, rather than have the laces on the liner; they give you a nice harness on this one. It’s not only going keep your foot in the liner, but the whole liner in the back of the snowboard boot. Gives you really good heal hold, which is important for the bigger guys and the bigger stresses they put on their snowboard boots. From there, you got a nice handle in the back, riveted on there pretty good. It’s going to be pretty easy to take the snowboard boots on and off with that.
And into the liner, definitely one of coolest things about the snowboard boot. It’s a fully heat moldable liner, it’s body heat active, you can just wear them around, and they the custom mold to your foot, features Intuition liner technology, which has been proven for about 15 years now. Really, really lightweight, super good insulator, and just all around amazing liner. You can see here that there are hardly any seams that directly touch your foot; it’s going to create less hotspots, just make it even more comfortable. You got the power strap on this one; it’s going to keep the tongue nice and centered. Moving into the internal on this one, you got a nice deep Achilles pocket it’s going to give you really good heal hold, going to keep you from moving around in there. It’s a really, really nice liner like I said. Level 1 insole on this one. Just a nice basic one, give you nice arch support, keep your foot centered, and add just a little more cushion to the already really cushy liner.
Yeah, theĀ
Ride BigFoot snowboard boot.. I mean, if you’re a size16 here’s your snowboard boot.
