Dave here at The House, talking about the Ride Contraband snowboard binding. It's a really, really cool convenience snowboard binding. Brand new from these guys this year. What you're looking at that makes this binding different from any other one is pretty obvious. It's got the rubber single strap in the front that tensions when you tension the ankle strap and then a little guide to keep it all locked in there.
Very lightweight binding. Two of these are gonna weight probably less than anything else on the market right now. Going in to aluminum base plate, very light, very rigid, very responsive. That goes up into the heel cup, which is adjustable, so it can accommodate a wide range of boot sizes. The strap on this one is going to be 3D molded, picking up the contours of the boots very well, and it is leather so it will break in and mold to the boots you are using. Metal arm on the ratchet, it's going to be very durable in colder conditions.
From there you've got a very cored out high back, very light weight, yet very responsive. It does cant, just a hair, to match the angle of the legs as they come up to the hip. The base plate, you've got a ton of padding. Definitely going to be good for, I'd say, all terrain freestyle or freeride. Just a super easy binding to use. Really quick in and out time.
