Pros: Comfortable,Stylish,Responsive,Easy To Ride,Smooth Ride,Very Durable, Cons: Heavy, breaks are terrible

The Sapient drop 2014 is a very good bike, but in my opinion it is heavy and all though the grips are very comfortable they don't give me the feeling for the bars that I was looking for, and the breaks are really bad. Otherwise it is a very good bike and I would recommend it to my friends and any other person.I also believe that the price for the drop was very good in my opinion. So overall asides from the weight, breaks and the grips it is an amazing bike.

Lannie EStaff: The Framed Forge and the Sapient drop are not meant for jumping or tricks they are your basic get around bikes with bmx flare. If you are looking to do tricks and jumps then get a higher end bike. Jan 9, 2014

Thon B: It a great beginners bike for our 10 year old to run the local dirt tracks. I would not recommend this for concert ramps since it would require a set of oversized pegs to fit the larger axel on the back tire. Jan 8, 2014

Shawn H: Sorry don't race. Good for cruising around town. Going to need to buy pedals for it, cause the black ones will break. Sorry couldn't give u anymore Info, but I really like the bike a lot. Oct 22, 2013

Lannie EStaff: The Sapient drop is not a good bike for racing i would suggest looking at a intense moto pro. If your just getting into racing it is a great affordable bike, if you are not new to racing i would look at the pk ripper. Nov 25, 2013

A shopper asked: Hi i have an 8 year old son who is into bmx'ing. Is this bike a good starter bike or would an 18 in be better? Dec 18, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Brandon D: I got this bike for my 8yr old, it's a good size to grow into and also the seat can go really low so touching the ground should not be a issue for a average sized kid. You can also adjust the handle bars slightly back so you don't have to extend arms too far and not mess up his natural riding position. A 18" might be good for now but with few to choose from and pricing a bit higher might not be worth it. Plus he will out grow it soon, the 20" is a great starter bike. Dec 18, 2013

Daryl M: This bike is great.. if he likes the sport you can add higher performance parts to it before upgrading completely. but this is the general size for kids 8 to 80.. .. my kid love it and sits proudly on it among the 6 and 700 dollar bikes.. seat is hard if he still actually sits and rides street. it comes almost completely built.. just bolt on the seat, handle bars, and front tire. but i still to it to a bike shop to turn it right for 25 bucks Dec 18, 2013

Jodie C: I got this bike for my 12 yr old. BMX bikes I think are built a little smaller. My 8 year old fits on it fine. Plus it will give him room to grow with it. I would say go for the 20 inch! Dec 18, 2013

Mark SStaff: The 18" bike i would fear he would out grow quick. The Sapient Drop is a great size for him to learn bike control on Dec 22, 2013

Ali S: I think so... I don't know much about it (the sport) my son is also 8, & it fits him fine... Dec 18, 2013

Todd M asked: Can I put a kickstand on this bike for my 9 yr old son? Jul 18, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Michael S: Yes you can, it depends on the style. These is a place just in back of the crankcase where the rear forks split. Place normally where you would find a kickstand mounted. The one I put on is a Cannondale. Suppose you could put any universal kickstand on, would ensure proper fitment in case you need to return it. Hope this helps. Jul 18, 2014
