great bike for dad
i've had a lot of fun on this bike over the past few months riding around the neighborhood and at the local bmx track with my son. immediately changed out the seat/seatpost with a laid back post, seat guts, and velo gel seat and added some 8.5" tall gt interceptor bars and gt lock on grips. i feel comfortably stretched out on the bike now for someone that is 5'11" and 205lbs. bike seems strong and i con't anticipate having any problems soon.

Great bike for riding around the city or racing. I did have to change out the crank and sprocket and one of the pedals broke and had to be changed out. Other than that great bike.

Can this bike take a beating?
A shopper on Dec 17, 2013
Best Answer: Yes, Yes, Yes!
I am 6’5” 240 and bought this last year as a Christmas present to myself to ride at the local BMX Track (York, PA). It is fast nimble (for a big wheeled BMX) and strong. I don’t do a lot of jumping but have gotten 2-3 feet of air and it handles nicely. You won’t be disappointed.

is this bike to big for a 11 year old?
A shopper on Jul 7, 2013
Best Answer: Depends on how tall he is and what he's using it for. If BMx riding,. May be a little large for that. There should be a fit guide on the website. Great bike for the money!

Has anyone seen this bike for sale in chrome? If yes, where? Thanks for any info.
A shopper on Aug 30, 2013
Best Answer: I know old school Interceptors came in chrome and I think this years 26" is in blue and yellow. The other 26" GT is the Speed and is cruiser race specific. Also there is a the performer in 26" bmx which is more street specific. I love my Interceptor in black and yellow and it handles great on the local bmx track "Bumps n Berms" or just cruising the neighborhood with my kids. I'm 46 and get all kinds of looks and comments and people think it is an old school ride from the 80s

Why is it so expensive? I bet it doesn't cost half the price to actually make the bike
Rowan E on Aug 27, 2014
Best Answer: Enter an answer tbike is worth the money for sure, nice parts on top of a strong frame fork i've put a little over a $100 more into with 8.5" rise gt interceptor bars, blackops laid back seatpost, velo gel seat, and seat guts so i can stretch myself out on it more. i got my son a se ripper jr. from thehouse so spending this on a bike for myself wasn't a big stretch. first bike i've bought in over 2 decades and a lot more comfortable for me than the tnt pro xl f/f 20" bmx bike i've been riding for the last 23 years.o this question.
