A shopper asked: What constitutes this bike as a beginner bike? Oct 8, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Paul J: My son took this bike to the BMX track and compared to the other bikes it would qualify as a beginner bike for a few reasons.
1. This bike is a bit heavier than the expensive bikes but alot less than a Huffy or any box store bike.
2. The brake system is a little less heavy duty.
3. The pedals are not the locking type used by the racers. The racers use shoes that lock to the pedals with a slide and lock system.

I do recommend this bike for the beginner. It looks like the real thing and performs safely. I wanted to make sure my kid sticks with the BMX thing before dropping $600

Mark SStaff: Normally a bike that is made of Hi-ten steel and lower end parts is considered a "beginner" bike Oct 8, 2013

A shopper asked: what color would you prefer? Jun 2, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
T. PearceStaff: I prefer the white model, however the color in no way helps or changes the spec of the overall bike it's merely your personal preference, and since it will be YOUR bike I suggest a color that you personally like best.

Hope this helps!
