Fat bikes are no longer just for snow and sand. As the application of fat tire bikes continues to evolve it''s becoming apparent that it’s on the cusp of turning the mainstream cycling community into believers. The new Rockshox Bluto suspension fork is a game changer allowing fat bikes to perform amazingly well on trails. For 2015 Framed is excited to announce the launch of 2 models of the Minnesota 3.0. Version one comes standard with a rigid alloy fork but can be easily upgraded to a Bluto as the front wheel has a 15mm thru axle hub that allows you to change directly from rigid to Bluto (and back) quickly and easily.
Version two comes standard with an alloy rigid fork AND the RockShox Bluto fork, giving you 100mm of squish up front. This trail friendly version is ready to tackle whatever the trail throws at it, no matter the season. Both versions utilize a 190mm rear hub that accommodates up to a 4.8” tire on the front and back. Framed didn''t stop there as they upgraded the drivetain to SRAM X7 2x10 for more range and included Avid BB7 brakes for more stopping power and easier adjustment. The Hubs and BB are sealed for a clean dependable roll. Rounding out these new bike are lightweight H-Billie 26”x4.25” 120tpi tires from Vee Rubber that perform great in all conditions from snow to dirt.
Rock Shox Bluto RL 100mm Bike Fork:
Rockshox started with the features you’ve come to love from them: Fast Black aluminum upper tubes, stout 15mm Maxle, remote or crown adjustable damping, tapered steerer tube, and the infinitely tunable Solo Air spring. Then, the chassis got the fat treatment by reengineering it to meet the unique needs of fat tires and wheels. Everything from crown, to arch, to axle has been optimized to tackle the increased torsional loads of its wide stance. With more traction and control than ever before, you’ll never be happier you went fat.
RockShox print Air Guides on all of our air-sprung forks. Maybe not a technological feat, but it will help you set up your suspension in seconds instead of minutes. And more time on your bike equals more chances to earn King of the Mountain on your favorite trail. Maybe they are a technological feat.
NOTE: All complete bikes are sold and delivered partially assembled. Final assembly should be done by a qualified BMX technician. Failure to have the bike assembled by a qualified technician may void the warranty and could result in damage and/or injury if not assembled correctly. As an industry standard, some bikes might have minor cosmetic blemishes due to the nature of shipping.
