Description: Framed Minnesota 2.0 Fat Bike - Womens

At Framed Bikes we like to approach cycling from a problem to solution angle. We noticed a lot of women on men’s fat bikes...that’s a problem. So we spent the last year working closely with some local female rippers. We are very proud to introduce the first-ever women’s-specific fat bike. It’s specifically engineered to accommodate the unique features of the female body without sacrificing performance. So what did we do to make it women’s specific? We built the bike in a 15” and 17” frame with a lower stand over. We also shortened the handlebar length (680mm), shortened the crank arm length to 170mm and threw on a comfortable women’s saddle.

The Women’s 2.0 is also compatible with the Framed Fattie Slims™ 29er wheel set. This is a ready to ride 29er hybrid/slick wheel set (w/rotors and cassette mounted). The additional wheel set options (Pat.Pending) allow switching from a "fat setup" to an even lighter, even faster "29 Fattie Slims™ wheel set" with no tools or mechanical skills.

Now let’s talk versatility. Framed Bikes developed the Fattie Slims™ wheel set packages to maximize use of the Minnesota Fat Bike series. The additional wheel set options (Pat.Pending) allow switching from a “fat setup” to an even lighter, even faster “29 Fattie Slims™ wheel set” with no tools or mechanical skills. We''re so excited about the design and versatility of this wheel set package that for a limited time, we''re more or less ($99) giving away a Fattie Slims™ wheel set with every Minnesota 1.0 and 2.0.

Please note, some photos show Schrader valves but all production bikes will have Presta valves.

Is there room for a larger tire on the front? What size is the headtube?
A shopper on Oct 5, 2014
Best Answer: Shopper - the Minnesota 1.0 and 2.0 series are built around the 4.0" tire, but something larger *might* fit. You may have to experiment with that! If you do find something bigger that fits, let the world know on the Facebook "Framed Minnesota Fat Bikes" page! You might also want to post a question to see if anyone else has tried!
Hope that helps!

Are the fattieslims wheels still included?
A shopper on Oct 5, 2014
Best Answer: Good Day,

Thanks for the Answers! For a time during the Introduction of the Framed Minnesota Series Bike the Slim tires were included as a sort of promotion of the bike. So Ben and Christina were correct. However, if you look at the bottom of the web page you will see that the slims are now offered as a $99.00 add on option. This is for both the 2014 and 2015 Minnesota.

Can you make any changes to this bike before placing an order? Looking for bar shifter and a fork with a suspension.
Lisa K on Sep 9, 2014
Best Answer: Most of the folks on the Framed Minnesota FatBike fan page (over on Facebook) are adding these options after they buy them. I don't think Framed has a suspension fork for the 2.0 yet, but rumor has it that they are working on make the Bluto from the Alaskan compatible or something like it. We'll see! At this time I don't think there's anything for the 2.0. I've seen some people convert a Lefty suspension for them (in photographs).

Hi. Is it possible to put a wider tire onto this bike? I see it has 4" in the description, I was thinking about 4.6" for the heavy winter conditions I ride in...Can I do it?
Bobbi on Aug 28, 2014
Best Answer: the biggest tire that will fit on the Minnesota 2.0 15" is 4.0"

Can a suspension fork fit on this bike?
A shopper on Oct 18, 2014
Best Answer: Shopper - sorry, the 2.0 was not designed for use with suspension. We cannot recommend any as it may void your warrantee.
Thanks for the question!

What size is the headset?
A shopper on Oct 6, 2014
Best Answer: Shopper - the headset is 1 1/8" straight, so you cannot use a tapered steerer fork (like a Bluto) on this bike.
Hope that helps!
