Description: Framed Minnesota 2.0 Fat Bike - Womens

Introducing the women's-specific Framed Minnesota 2.0 Fat Bike. Framed bike designers spent hours interviewing local female riders ranging from commuters to rippers to engineer a Personalized fat bike that will accommodate the unique features of the female rider without sacrificing performance. Never again ride a man-me-down fattie.

So what makes it so female specific? For starters, the 15" or 17" frame with lower standover makes for the ultimate in comfort and stability. Second, Framed shortened the handlebar length to give you that ergonomically correct positioning. Oh, third, we threw on a comfortable seat so your bum won't hurt. Ride hard and remain comfortable with the Minnesota 2.0!

The engineers at Framed developed the Fattie Slims™ wheel set to maximize the 2.0's versatility. Switch from fat setup to "29 Fattie Slims™" wheel set in minutes without tools or mechanical skills.

Please note, some photos show Schrader valves but all production bikes will have Presta valves.

My cup of tea
I have ridden a handful of men's fat bikes over the year but never owned one. I also know several happy Minnesota 2.0 owners. So when the women's was available I jumped on it right away and I'm glad I did because it looks like they sold out right way. Sizing, seat, colors, and the tires are spot on. I've had the bike for a couple weeks now and I've been riding it as much as I can. It's great on trail, gravel and I'm really looking forward to these tires in snow. Happy camper here!

Great bike and great service!
Let me start off by saying what great customer service and support I received from "The House". I had a few questions and when I emailed them, they responded within minutes on several occasions. Very prompt. Also, the bike shipped 2 weeks earlier than their date stated on my order confirmation. I would highly recommend doing business with them.

Now, about the bike. I absolutely LOVE it! It looks fantastic. Whenever I ride it people stop and stare at it because it is so beautiful. The components are nice, not top of the line but well worth the value. You can't beat this bike for the money. I am one happy, satisfied customer, of both The House and Framed.

amazing
Fun, smooth, and sharp looking. I've had this bike for a few weeks. Love it. Been out riding single track as much as possible and it rides just as well as a bike you'd pay 2500 for. I've borrowed and road other bikes before and the 2.0 is just as nice for half the price. Can't beat that. Added on some bar mitts for warmth and already signed up for my first fat bike race. A great bike to jump right into the sport. No need to look further. I am 5"4 and have the 15inch white/blue. So sharp!

Great bike, great price
Let's face it- fat bikes are pretty low tech. No techie suspension, just big ass tires that go anywhere. So there is no reason to spend 4-6 grand for a bike that has carbon fiber frame, when the weight is all in the tires. This bike has been a dream for me- bought one used in Colorado Springs, then bought one new from The House for my wife this Christmas. We both love our bikes- they go ANYWHERE, and I do mean that- snow, mud, gravel, steep trails- it is the Sherpa of bikes. Highly recommended.

Great Value -- Great Bike!
I just got done assembling my wife's blue/white Framed Minnesota 2.0 Womens 2015 fat bike. Great job once again by the FM people. We shouldn't be surprised -- this is our third FM fat-bike, but I'm impressed by what a great value these bikes are especially at this price-point. The frame is rock solid and there is nothing on this bike that is a throw-away or needs to be replaced right away.

I'll leave the test ride report to my wife, but if it hadn't gotten dark so early she'd probably still be riding it right now. So I've got a question -- how come my bikes have to stay out in the garage but it's OK for her's to be parked in the living room?

Once again Framed Minnesota has hit one out of the park! Highly recommended.

Womens framed Minnesota 2.0
I received my bike within 4 days of ordering which I thought was excellent. Putting the bike together was easy. Brakes needed to be adjusted slightly. On my first ride, I noticed the shifter cable binding, so I lubricated it & worked beautifully. Overall, the bike is awesome, even after almost a month & around a dozen rides in. I'm giving it 4 out of 5 because the pedals could be better, although they are adequate.

Framed 2.0
To start with I think this is a decent bike, when you consider the price compared to other similar Fat Bikes its a fantastic Bike.
Everything was well adjusted right out of the box and it was evident that this bike was alot lighter and more nimble than others I've ridden in the "under $2000.00 range", Since I had alot of higher end parts on hand I did alot of upgrades which can be seen here >> http://forums.mtbr.com/fat-bikes/my-take-framed-minnesota-2-0-a-949676.html <<
The bike is now at 30lbs 12oz down from the original 34+ lbs. it did not take alot to turn it into a Super nice bike and still at less cost by far than others equally equipped.
My Opinion is- If you want to try a Fat Bike you cant go wrong here, nice out of the box and highly upgradeable for reasonable costs. You do actually get what you pay for with this bike.
Customer service is outstanding from "The House" and I would not hesitate to make another purchase.

Love my MN 2.0 Women's
Went out for the first time yesterday, did a lot of flat and a little technical - nice ride! I was worried about it being a hard tail but the slight bounce in the tires makes for a comfortable ride. Great bike for the money!

Framed Minnesota 2.0
Actually I would give the Minne 2.0 a 4.5 rating. It weighed in at 33.7 pounds and looks very sharp. Comparing all Minne 2.0 measurements against my 15" frame Gravity I found that the claims of 15" frame- WSD were accurate and were more suited to my wife's 5'4 frame than the small Surly she had ridden. Minimal assembly was required and Cheryl assembled it herself with only a little instruction on tweaking the rear disc brake. The rear wheel had a detectable space across the rim however, my friend that has run his bike shop for 20+ years, gave it a thumbs-up for safety and durability. He was also quite impressed with the bang-for-the-bucks.
Yes, I recommend this bike.

BUY THIS BIKE LADIES!
First off, I ordered this bike on a Sunday and received it in the mail 2 days later! I debated on which frame size to get and ended up with the 17 inch frame which fit me perfect since I am 5'6". Don't get me wrong, I'm historically clumsy on a bike (usually crash every ride from trying to go big) but this bike has opened a world of balance for me. One can literally ride over anything with a fat bike, and this Framed company is the best place to start out. Don't second guess this purchase, get this bike now and you'll have a shit-eatin' grin on your face YEAR-ROUND!

Great Fat Bike!
I picked this bike up for my wife Bonnie as she wanted a FAT bike. I was very impressed with the build on Minnesota 2.0. This is not cheap FAT bike. Frame/fork looks good nice welds. Good geometry as well. Shipping was fast. Bike was packed very well. Wife loves the black/purple colorway. As do I! For the money Minnesota Framed FAT bikes cannot be beat!

How true are the back order ship dates? Is that a guarantee or a guess?
A shopper on Dec 1, 2014
Best Answer: Hi,
This is an important question. First the Women's MN 2.0 is not back ordered currently. The back order dates are educated guesses... not guarantees. Especially with the new Framed Fat bikes there a number of variables that are effecting shipping. In the end, Know that these guys are working extremely hard to get all of these products shipped as fast as humanly possible. If you call our Framed guys... they may be able to tighten up that ship date for you. 866-243-6932

Is there room for a larger tire on the front? What size is the headtube?
A shopper on Oct 5, 2014
Best Answer: Shopper - the Minnesota 1.0 and 2.0 series are built around the 4.0" tire, but something larger *might* fit. You may have to experiment with that! If you do find something bigger that fits, let the world know on the Facebook "Framed Minnesota Fat Bikes" page! You might also want to post a question to see if anyone else has tried!
Hope that helps!

Does it have rack mounts?
A shopper on Nov 20, 2014
Best Answer: The bike does not come with, or include rack mounts. I bought two, the 18" and the 15" models, and separately purchased a Thule hitch rack moun for the two bikest. A separate kit is available to upgrade this rack system to accommodate the 4" size tires......great bikes at a great price!

My GF is 5'7" with about a 34 inseam. Pretty long legs :) Will she be setter suited with the 17" or is the 15" good enough for her? Thanks
A shopper on Nov 24, 2014
Best Answer: The 15" would be fine and I always suggest the smallest frame that fits you. There is plenty of seat-post for 34" inseam. Off-Road frames are generally fit smaller than road bikes. A lot of Off-Road riding is out of the saddle.

What is the best size fat tire bike for a women 5'8"?
A shopper on Dec 31, 2014
Best Answer: At 5'8" it is questionable that a WSD is necessary. After measuring my wife's wsd to my "men's" bike there was really only a minimal difference. For a woman 5'4" this was significant.
If your body is proportional you should fit the small frame just fine. The smaller frame is most appropriate for off-road bikes. This is a pretty cool bike and a good value at this price. It weighed in at 33.7 lbs, which is not bad at all. My wife assembled it out of the box and we only had to tweak the rear disc as it was on the frame appropriately. Happy riding, Ian

Looking for a fat bike for my girlfriend. She is 5'6" with a shorter than average inseam. Would I want to get the 15" or 17"? I feel like 16" would be best, but it's not available.
Sam B on Jan 20, 2015
Best Answer: I would recommend the 15"

These run a little large and it is best to go a size down due to height, especially when riding in snow.

A shopper on Nov 2, 2014
Best Answer: When I ride off-road I expect to get dirty and if I ride in the rain, I expect to get wet. Besides, wet & dirty looks really cool !!! I would only go to fenders if you are using your fat-bike as a commuter and you do not carry a change of clothes.

A shopper on Oct 5, 2014
Best Answer: Good Day,

Thanks for the Answers! For a time during the Introduction of the Framed Minnesota Series Bike the Slim tires were included as a sort of promotion of the bike. So Ben and Christina were correct. However, if you look at the bottom of the web page you will see that the slims are now offered as a $99.00 add on option. This is for both the 2014 and 2015 Minnesota.

Best Answer: Most of the folks on the Framed Minnesota FatBike fan page (over on Facebook) are adding these options after they buy them. I don't think Framed has a suspension fork for the 2.0 yet, but rumor has it that they are working on make the Bluto from the Alaskan compatible or something like it. We'll see! At this time I don't think there's anything for the 2.0. I've seen some people convert a Lefty suspension for them (in photographs).
