Description: Minnesota 2.2 w/ Alloy and Bluto Forks Fat Bike

Introducing the new FRAMED MN 2.2 with Alloy fork and Rock Shox Bluto Suspension Fork.

This upgraded 2.2 has all the same great features of the original MN 2.0 but with a 2X10 drivetrain and a fully tapered head tube and the addition of the Rock Shox Bluto Suspension fork to take you even further! The MN 2.2 with a Bluto fat bike specific suspension fork will take you from fat bike to a true mountain / trail bike with 100mm of air sprung travel, keeping your tires on the ground and you in control.

The MN 2.2 starts with a 6061 alloy frame loaded up with SRAM X7 in an even larger 2X10 drivetrain for more performance and control. We added AVID BB5 mechanical Disc brakes for smooth stopping power. Traction is brought to you by our very own FRAMED Minnesota 4.0, 120 tpi folding bead tire with lightweight tubes. Riders agree; these have a perfect tread pattern to be a true 365 day tire. We round this out on our Aluminum alloy 80 mm 32 hole lightweight rims to reduce rolling weight and increase strength and performance.

The MN 2.2 with Alloy and Bluto fork; Comes standard with the oversized 6061 aluminum alloy fork AND the Bluto Suspension fork. The Bluto fork is not installed and should be installed by a certified bicycle technician. Most riders investing in a high-end fork will have certain riding preferences, such as your stack height. The last thing we want to do is make an assumption and cut your fork too short.

Does the $50 installation service include installation of the Bluto front fork?
A shopper on Dec 6, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Good Day!
Yes it does, though you will still need to adjust it for to your weight and ride preferences once you get the bike.
What's the biggest tire size that will fit the 2.2?
A shopper on Aug 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The max is going to be a 4.7" tire such as the ol' Bulldozer: http://www.the-house.com/qvrbdz120tt26zz-vee-rubber-fat-bike-tires.html
I remember one of the advantages promoted about the 2.0 is short chain stays that make the bike snappy and easy to turn for a fat bike. However I'm looking for something with a tapered head tube and suspension fork, so that rules out the 2.0. Are the frames on the 2.2 and 3.0 the same geometry as the 2.0, particularly the chain stay lengths? Also, what are the differences between the 2.2 and 3.0?
FatOldGoat on Jan 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi!
The 2.2 actually shares the same frame geometry with the 2.0. The 3.0 is different from those two. The 3.0 will have a different frame shape and upgraded components. All three are sweet mid level fatbikes, and it sounds like the 2.2 might be your bike. If you do have specific bike questions you can also chat with our bike shop directly here: 1 (800) 409-7669.
How does this bike compare to the Trek Farley 5?
A shopper on Dec 30, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Good Day!
The Trek Farley 5 is about the hottest fat bike out there. The Farley's best trait is really smart geometry. Framed's best match-up is not the Minnesota series bikes, but the Framed Alaskan Alloy Bike. http://www.the-house.com/framed-alloy-carbon-build.html The advantage is that the AK Alloy with Carbon Fork is $1,400 compared to the $1,800 for the comparable Farley. The Trek will have a little newer tech (ex: frame geometry allowing 5" tires while the AK Alloy can handle a 4.8"). On the other hand the AK Alloy will be a tic lighter, offers more customization, and is about bombproof. Both bikes are sweet.... it will come down to your own preference.
What's the max rider weight?
A shopper on Oct 4, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Good Day!
Framed suggests that somewhere around 280 to 300 lbs is the max user weight for these MN series bikes.
