Description: Framed Minnesota 1.0 Fat Bike - Womens

Framed has made the ever popular 1.0 series even more accessible by building the Women's specific Minnesota 1.0 Fat bike! Framed bike designers interviewed local riders from commuters to rippers to engineer a fat bike that will optimize the unique features of the female rider with an entry level priced fat bike designed for year round use from in town commuting to summer trails to full on winter rides. For just under $800.00, this bike will meet and exceed your expectations and get you riding with confidence and comfort.

The women's Minnesota 1.0 may be priced low, but it's definitely not short on quality and performance. The lightweight 6160 alloy frame has a lower stand over and more women specific dimensions for better comfort and handling. SRAM components allow for effortless rides and ultra-responsive shifting.  Avid BB5 mechanical disc brakes provide reliable stopping power in all temperatures and terrain. The single-wall alloy rims are drilled out for excellent strength to weight ratio. Finally, Framed has equipped the new Minnesota 1.0 with 26" x 4" wire bead tires for durability and traction you have to experience to believe. FRAMED added the Velo Plush Women's specific saddle, designed for performance rides with comfort and Framed 680 mm handlebars for a more comfortable reach and superior control.

To top it off we wanted to make a fatty that was as multi-purpose as possible, with the Framed Fattie Slims™ and Fattie Trail 29er wheel sets. Fattie Slims™ wheel set" is a ready to ride 29er slick wheel set (w/rotors and cassette mounted). The additional wheel set options (Pat.Pending) allow switching from a "fat setup" to an even lighter, even faster "29 Fattie Slims™ wheel set" with no tools or mechanical skills. This is also available in a trail style knobby 2.1" tire for single track and trail conditions.

Women's framed 1.0
I was impressed with customer support, female tech was a rider and knew exactly how to answer my questions. Delivery was fast and assembly was worth it. I had the bike up and running in less then 10 mins. My wife loved the bike and the hot pink rims. Definitely recommend buying this bike. Great prices for quality bikes!

Love this bike.
I love everything about this bike; the color, the size, the price. Shipping was super-fast and it was ready to ride within 10 minutes of opening the box. I got the black/pink one, and the color is fantastic. The only things I changed was replacing the plastic pedals for metal ones, and swapped the stem for an angled one.

Great bike
Bought this for my wife, she loves it, she can make sections she couldn't before on her 26in bike. She loves the white with purple rims, comments everywhere from everyone. Although its entry level components, everything works great. The shifters work well, nice and smooth. The brakes are adequate for stopping my wife. Buying from the house was easy, assembly was easy if you have even limited skill. Get a fat tire bike, they are awesome fun.

Whats the big difference between the fat bike 1 and 2?
Michelle Y on Jan 4, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Good Question.
The 2.0 and 1.0 will be similar in many ways. The 2.0 will have a few component upgrades, but the largest difference is that the 2.0 will have a shorter top tube creating a slightly smaller cockpit.
Can I get XWT option for the women's 1.0 version?
A shopper on Mar 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hey,
There will not be enough space on the 1.0 to accommodate the XWT tires. For more info have a chat with our bike shop: 1 (800) 409-7669. They are a great resource.

BEST ANSWER: I bought this bike for my girlfriend and she's 5'-5" too.
So far she loves the bike. The only differents is the 1.0 only
Has 1 chain ring and the 2.0 has 2. So gearing is the main difference
Between the two bikes.

BEST ANSWER: Hi!
We do actually, but by far your best option is to Contact Dana at Framed Bikes.... he is the man who can make anything happen and do it reasonably!! 1 (800) 409-7669. Let me know if you have more questions.
is this bike able to be fitted with the rockshox bluto?
Matt W on Jul 4, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi Matt,

The Minnesota 1.0 is not able to be fitted with the Rockshox Bluto since it does not have a tapered headtube. We have the Minnesota 1.2 available that is capable of running a Bluto fork. The Frame geometry is very similar between the 1.0 and 1.2 as well as the component specs. You can check out the Minnesota 1.2 here if you like http://www.the-house.com/qfmm12abf15br16zz-framed-fat-bikes.html

I'm 5'7 what size should I get?
Linda W on Sep 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi Linda,
I spoke to our bike shop, and at 5'7" the best option is the 17" bike. If you continue to have questions about our bikes, you are welcome to chat with our bike techs: 1 (800) 409-7669.
I'm 5'0 ride a lot - not sure if the 15 is better then the mini -at 13, thoughts i will be riding off rode and maybe some races?
Michelle on Dec 2, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for the Answers!
Michelle, I spoke to the Framed bike peeps. You could ride the Mini, and while the stand-over might be a little better.... the 15" 1.0 is going to be more comfortable while pedaling especially if you are racing. I think the 15" is the better choice. Feel free to chat with our bike shop (Erick specifically) and they can size you to exactly the right bike: 1 (800) 409-7669.

What does the $50 charge for your mechanic intale . This is still applicable for delivered bikes not just in-store pickup ?
A shopper on Mar 27, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hey,
Sorry to confuse you. All bikes sold in the Showroom are completely built... no charge. If you order a fatbike without the $50 assembly you will get a rather raw bike that will need to have things like the derailleurs aligned, and brakes set-up. The $50 charge will give you a bike that will require only the most minor adjustment and the front wheel assembled.
What are the geometry differences between the Women's 15" Minnesota 1.0 and the Men's 15" Minnesota 1.0? Is there a difference? Is it possible to see the geometry specs of both 15" frames?
A shopper on Feb 6, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The Womens comes in a 15 inch frame and delivers a shorter stand over height on the 17 inch 1.0 as well. You can see all the specs and frame drawings in the links below at Framedbikes.com
