jared w: For the most part the bike is assembled, you might just have to attach the handle bars, front wheel, seat, and or pedals, all you really need is an Allen key, which should come with the bike, a wrench and phillips screwdriver. Nov 29, 2013

Diori V asked: What took do you need to out this bike together ? Apr 15, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Steven A: It was just normal tools, nothing special. They recommend that you use a qualified repair shop to maintain your warranty. If you don't have any tools, wait til you get the bike and then go to a pawn shop or garage sale. As it is, this bike is not sturdy enough for hard landings. You will need to beef up the pedal cylinder or it will be crushed. Apr 18, 2014
Reply to Steven Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
T. PearceStaff: The bike does come partially assembled, however we ask that you take it to a qualified BMX technician to assemble the parts together. This not only assures us that everything is put together 100% correctly (as well as not void your warranty) but they can also tune the bike if needed before it's rode.

Hope this helps!

jared w: They give you Allen keys, you should really only need a good wrench or vice grip. Apr 16, 2014

Maison W asked: Is this bike good for dirt jumps? Oct 8, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Christopher H: The bike is amazing! My only complaint is the very hard and unusable seat. I replaced the seat and also added a shock absorbent rod that connects the seat to the frame. If your racing and jumping there is no time to sit down. But even to take a breather between races, it was no bueno! The petals feel like they grab your feet, it's a good plus. And finally you have to make sure all parts are extremely locked down. Otherwise they will adjust during the ride, and that sucks. Oct 8, 2013

A shopper asked: My daughter is 8 & on the smaller side (48 in). Can she ride this bicycle as a next step up from 18in? She will not be riding it much until spring and may grow a bit before then. Dec 14, 2013

Sandra E: I have not given this bike to my grandson yet, but he is 11 years old. I can tell you that he has ridden a bike of this size since he was eight years old. Most of the kids around here ride this size regardless of their age. My 17 year old grandson still rides his bike of same size. Dec 14, 2013

Michael p: The forge is an entry level model. for the price you can't go wrong at all. For your size this bike will be perfect. The color is highly visible and will be a head turner. The bike doesn't have front & back pegs which is something to think about. On my forge I switched the seat, pedals, grips and added four pegs. These parts make all the difference and it now rides dramatically different. I would give this bike 4 out of 5 stars only because of some generic parts. Best of luck to you. Aug 12, 2013

K A: This was for my son who is 5'6" and 100 lbs. It sounds like the perfect bike for you. He says that bike is light and he likes the style. It is his first BMX bike as well. If you are interested if you use this code 25704, you can get 5% of the price. Good Luck with your choice.

As a parent, the price was great and the shipping was less than $20. The only assembly was the wheels, pedals seat and handle bars. Pretty simple.

Great value... :-)

Roy MStaff: Absolutely, the Framed Forge BMX Bike. Good bike as it has 14mm rear axle dropouts - brings up the strength in the rear end. Also it has the geometry of a high end bike with a far lesser cost - great way to see if your son will stick with the sport before sinking serious cash. Jul 15, 2013

Siulin G asked: This bike can be use for bici-cross? Mar 12, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Steven A: This bike lasted through about two days of small jumps. Something bent in the pedal cylinder and it has been sitting since last year. Plan is to go to a shop and have them replace the sleeve with something harder. I haven't inspected the damage so I really don't know if it can be repaired. Mar 14, 2014
Reply to Steven Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Alexis S: Yes it can be used for this. It is more tailored towards a ramp/park bike, but it can be used for bycyle cross or BMX. Mar 12, 2014
Reply to Alexis Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Mitzi F: Sorry but I don't know what Bici-cross is. Mar 12, 2014
Reply to Mitzi Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Siulin G: It is done in a similar track to motocross tracks. The main difference is the land used. The motocross is often a moist, while the BMX race is a compact sandy loam that is hard to avoid buildup of bicycle wheels. Mar 12, 2014
Mitzi F: This bike will work on both types of tracks. My son uses it on a bmx track and on mountain trails and on the street. It's very good on all terrain. Mar 12, 2014
