A shopper asked: Is this bike any good? Sep 18, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Vincent B: Well I bought it for my 12 year old brother, & he loves it! Only bad things are that the pedal broke about a month ago & it didn't come with any stickers, it's just a basic, black bmx bike. Now he wants to get metal pedals, but because of the type of crank it has, they don't make metal pedals that fit it. So we have to but a new crank and the pedals & it's going to be expensive. Probably around $80-90..His friend also just bought 3 weeks ago for $160 on here, it's yellow & his pedal broke 2 days later.. Now they're both in the same boat.. Sep 25, 2013

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
kevin w: should be. I bought it for my 9 year old and the top tube is too long for him making the handle bars a stretch. but he loves it anyway. It's geometry is for a larger person for sure. Don't plan to pedal while seated though. I tried that the other day and almost kneed myslef in the chin. Seems to built pretty well though we haven't really tested it. hope that helps Aug 13, 2013

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Randall B: hey isaiah r this is his son who bought the bike but yes sir it is very good for tricking doing 180s to 360s bunny hop etc very light weight and easy to ride i very very highly recomend tightening every nut and bolt cause i had an accident were i came down and the wheel came right out of the fork and te some good pavement another is the handle bars ur hands will get sweaty and feel a little cramped if u ride to long but other than that very very good bike i highly say get this bike i would be happy to answer any more questions other than that have a good day Aug 30, 2013
Reply to Randall Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
kevin w: yeah pretty good. The geometry is low and long. The seat is out of the way. the brake caliper is below the rear triangle so you can put your foot between the tire and frame. Doesn't come with pegs. The headset spins around 360 degrees with the brake cable on. Well built bike for the money Aug 31, 2013
Reply to kevin Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Susan M: Yes, My step son performs many tricks on his new bike. We added the pegs to do additional tricks. Always, however, wear your helmet. Tricks are not always successful. Have fun on your bike!!!!! Aug 30, 2013

A shopper asked: How fast is it? Jul 9, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Roy MStaff: As fast as you can pedal Jul 9, 2013
Reply to Roy M Good answer? Yes (4) No (1)
Peter H: The kid really likes it. He said it is plenty fast. However, he was not real pleased with the seat, as it only will go up and down. It does not tilt, and also, it wanted to rotate on its own. I had to drill a hole in the base and put in a self tapping screw to secure it. All in all, it is a lot of bike for the buck. The quality is good, and the finish is great. If you replace the seat with a better one, it would be almost perfect. Jul 9, 2013

A shopper asked: can you do like a dirt bmx bike race with it? Jul 3, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Roy MStaff: The Framed Forge BMX Bike is a freestyle/street bike. The general design of a competitive dirt race bike is different in that the frame geometry is different and the fork strength compared to freestyle bikes is different. So if you wanted to step it up, go with a race engineered bike. Jul 9, 2013
Reply to Roy M Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Anthony W: Honestly there may be better racing bikes out there for competitive racing, but you could certainly make a good showing of yourself with this one in a friendly race. Jul 3, 2013

Peter H: It has street tires. Not suitable for dirt. Jul 9, 2013

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
charlotte w: I am sorry but I am not familiar with the sapient drop to be able to compare the two. I know my son Loves this bike. He takes it on half pipes and does quite a few tricks on it. The bike has held up well, easy handling, good maneuverability and fairly light weight. Hope that helps a little if indirectly. Sep 17, 2013
Reply to charlotte Good answer? Yes (1) No (0)
Lannie EStaff: The framed forge and the Sapient Drop both come from the same manufacturer. There is very little difference in both their aspects. Sep 25, 2013

Failure to have the bike assembled by a qualified technician may void the warranty and could result in damage and/or injury if not assembled correctly. As an industry standard, some bikes might have minor cosmetic blemishes due to the nature of shipping. Sep 9, 2013

Sam H asked: I am really think about this bike. What do I know about the quality? Can someone who owns this tell me about it? I take my bikes to the skate I don't go really hard just like small jumps. Also when you jump it does it feel solid? Will it break easy? Thanks! Aug 22, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Mark SStaff: The Framed Forge is a beginners bmx bike. If you are already jumping and doing tricks this bike would not be good for you. You will need something made of 100% Chromoly. If you look at the Framed Attack LTD line, or the Sapient SAGA Pro line they will work great for you! Aug 26, 2013
Reply to Mark Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Jasmine F: it's solid but i wouldn't rely on it for jumping on the daily. it's more of an introduction to bmx and maybe some bmx racing with some part swapping. Oct 8, 2013
