Good Bike
I am new to BMX and this is my first bike. As far as I am concerned, there is nothing even close to this bike that utilizes the amount of chromolly in its build that is close to this price. I have had the bike for a few weeks now and ridden it pretty hard for a beginner. Now as far as my experience goes, my bunny hop is sub par, my manual is meh, and I practice spins on fly outs at the park. So to be honest, I am a total newb. However I am very experienced in other disciplines of biking, and the bike has been excellent so far for my beginner status. As far as components go, I was not psyched on the bearings and hubs being unsealed, but as a beginner I'm not that concerned. I believe there is a sealed American bracket set on Dans comp that I can upgrade to in the future if possible, but for the time being things are working just fine. Nonetheless, here is my review:

How it fits and rides:

I am 5'11 and 160 pounds and the bike feels great. I have ridden a 21 inch top tube and a 20 inch and this is my preference. The bike is smooth, light, comfortable to handle, and has been incredibly durable so far. As I am new, the bike has allowed me to really develop in my early stages of riding. No complaints.

In Depth on Components:

The frame, handle bars, cranks, grips, seat, and wheels have been excellent so far. No problems. However, I did replace the front sprocket with a Stolen sprocket and I replaced the chain with a half link chain. I also replaced the pedals with some Stolen pedals (for those who do not know, Stolen is a BMX company). I did this to improve the chain tension as the stock components were causing some issues . I recommend upgrading. I took to my local bike shop to get this done and they were pleased with the bike. Obviously I wish the Headset was integrated, and I wish the hubs were sealed, and that the bracket was not American, and that the fork was tapered, but for a first bike I'm very happy. Plus having 2.3 double walled tires is rad. I should also mention that I got the black and white version. I took off the all the red decals, and got purple Stolen pedals. So the bike is black and white with a hint of purple, and let me tell you, it looks so steezy. I also removed the break, but it worked just fine. I took it off simply because it is my preference.

To sum up, it is an excellent bike for the price and for my skill level. Also be aware, that the components are not the best, and the frame is not the most ideal for upgrading. Expect to need to upgrade parts, but also be psyched that you are getting a bike with chromolly at this price. I am stoked to upgrade and develop what I can on this bike. No regrets, and I recommend for beginner to intermediate riders.

Good bike but a flaw
I love the mistique paint and it's a smooth ride but clearance on the rear tire to frame is minimal, causing for a pain to adjust perfectly. And the pedal spindle broke in half within 2 hours of riding. It is a good weight to ride at the park with.

Since the Day Ive bought this bikeit has gotten delayed 3 Times or more :( I get it deliver on the day school starts what are the chances of it being delayed again? :O :(
Ricky H on Aug 28, 2016
I realize this is annoying. I guess Framed made some last second adjustments that delayed the transport of these bikes... which is to your advantage. I checked with the Framed guys and they thought the posted back order date was good. I will repost here if I hear anything. We do have the Black / Red option in stock now if you wanted to change you order.
