When I was a kid I went to visit Florida for the first time because I had a…let’s just call her a ‘friend’…who went to college down there. This was the first time I was exposed to the side of college you don’t see in the brochures and after a night of ‘socializing’ I managed to fall over the back of a railing and onto my head on concrete a full story down. For some reason, I also happened to have my wallet in my shirt pocket. Slightly dazed but miraculously free from serious injury, I failed to realize that I had lost my wallet. For those of you that don’t fly too often, you need to have an ID to get on a plane.
Stuck in hot and sweaty Florida I literally had nothing except my skateboard. So what did I do? I went to the Skatepark of Tampa of course! This legendary park is sick, the set up changes all the time, and in honor of the appearance I made, they now hold a contest every year called the Tampa Pro (?!).
Annually, this event is where you get to see literally the best park skating of the year, with all the top names coming to town to get down.
