The Oakley Arctic Challenge Trip of a Lifetime Winners Annouced!

House Boardshop customer Nicholas Houx out of Hughson, CA is the lucky winner of our Oakley Arctic Challenge Trip of a Lifetime giveaway!

He and a friend will be flown round trip to Oslo, Norway next month to attend the Oakley Arctic Challenge in VIP style. They will be staying at the same hotel as the athletes, granted VIP access to view the legendary event, and even attend a VIP wrap party after the event.

The House Boardshop and Oakley are giving one lucky S.O.B.  the prize of a lifetime; an all expense paid trip to Oslo, Norway to hang with Oakley and crew at The Arctic Challenge this February.

The winner and a friend will be flown round trip February 16th through the 20th, 2011 to Oslo where they will stay four nights at the same hotel as the athletes, receive VIP passes to view the event, and exclusive tickets to the wrap party the night before finals. Food, drinks and transportation to and from the event are included.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to brush shoulders with legendary riders like Terje Haakonsen, Torstein Horgmo, Heikki Sorsa and Mikkel Bang as they compete in one of the world’s most famous and historical snowboarding events.

From now until December, 31st order any Oakley product* from The-House.com to be automatically entered to win. Winners will be drawn at random and announced on Monday, January 10th, 2011.

The sweepstakes: From 11/1/10 through 12/31/10, Oakley and The-House.com will promote, by means of print, email, social media and TV and at the House Board Shop the opportunity to submit entries to win a grand prize as detailed below.

Eligibility: In order to submit entries, contestants must be 18 years of age. Any individuals (including but not limited to employees, consultants, independent contractors, and interns) who have, within the past six months, performed services for The-House.com and Oakley or any organizations responsible for sponsoring, fulfilling, administering, advertising or promoting the contest or supplying the prize, and/or their respective parent, subsidiary, affiliated and successor companies, and immediate family and household members of such individuals, are not eligible to enter or play. “Immediate family members” shall mean parents, stepparents, children, stepchildren, siblings, stepsiblings, or spouses. “Household members” shall mean people who share the same residence at least three months in one calendar year.

How to enter: (1) Order any Oakley product from The-House.com between November 1st and December 31, 2010 and all eligible customers will automatically be entered into the drawing. (2) Customers can also enter the contest by sending a postcard with their name, address, zip code, area code and phone number to: The TAC Giveaway 200 S. Owasso Blvd. E St. Paul, MN 55117. All contestants must be 18 years of age or older to enter and win. All sweepstakes entries become the property of The-House.com and Oakley and will not be returned and may be used by The-House.com and Oakley for any purpose and in any media in perpetuity.

How to win: The Grand Prize winner will be selected in a random drawing conducted from all qualified entries on Monday, January 10, 2011. In the event that the original Grand Prize winner does not meet Official Rules or eligibility requirements, or he/she or parent or legal guardian forfeits the Grand Prize. The-House.com and Oakley will award prize to first alternate. Process will continue until Grand Prize is awarded.

All entries must be received on or before midnight, 12/31/10. The selection will be held on Monday, January 10th, 2011. Decision of the judges, Oakley and The-House.com are final. The Grand Prize winner will be notified by phone and/or mail and must meet all eligibility requirements.

The Grand Prize is non-transferable. There may be no cash or other substitutions of prizes by winner. However, The-House.com and Oakley reserve the right to substitute similar prizes of equal or greater value in the event the above prize is unavailable for any reason. Winner is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes with respect to entire prize.

Winner(s) must sign an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release and Indemnification Form (“the Form”)  that : a) release, indemnify and hold harmless The-House.com, Oakley and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries and successor companies, as well as their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives, advertising agencies and promotional sponsors (collectively the “Release”) from and against any and all harm, expense, liability or injury that may be sustained relating to or arising from participation in the sweepstakes or acceptance or use of the prize; and/or b) authorizes the The-House.com and/or Volcom to use the winners’ names, likenesses, photographs, voices and biographical data for any purpose, in any media, unless prohibited by law.
