Nike Outsole
The Vapen and Zoom Force 1’s ultra low profile outsole offer great board feel and outstanding grip. The outsoles of Nike Snowboard Boots look cool and ride even better because of the vice grip tread inspired by the Air Force 1 basketball shoe.
Nike Vapen
Although each boots midsoles vary slightly, these Nike Snowboard Boots have exceptional Phylon midsole cushioning along with individual additions. The Vapen’s Polyurethane (PU) heel cushioning is pillow soft and the Zoom Force 1 Zoom Air heel technology makes harsh landings feel soft. Nike Zoom Force 1
With lateral and medial structure the Vapen and Zoom Force 1 provide carving support and jib functionality for you to be the best rider at your mountain. The full length internal backstay, neoprene flex notch, and 3D molded tongue in the Vapen give the boot fantastic rebound properties. Power Straps and lace lock hardware on the Air Force 1 tighten with a simple tug for a custom fit. Zoom Force 1 Heel Harness & Warming Blanket Stroble Technology
Nike Snowboard Boot liners are re-heat moldable. You can heat mold liners, and then re-heat mold the liners again if you’d like. Underneath each liner on top of the midsole and in the shell walls the Vapen and Zoom Force 1’s have Warming Blanket Stroble Technology that keeps your body’s heat inside the boot and the cold weather out.
Vapen Liner
The Vapen’s Polyethylene (PE) and Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) padded liner has an attached Roman sandal inspired lacing instead of a Baxa internal lace harness system like the Zoom Force 1‘s upper has that the PE/EVA liner slides into. Both Nike Snowboard Boots liner laces have a simple lace lock pull system that guarantees a snug heel hold during those maximum velocity toe edge turns.
Zoom Force 1 Liner
The Zoom Force 1 has a beefed up liner with a Outlast treated sockliner, Poron cushioning, a power strap that offers a firm fit on top of the liner, and added support material on both the medial and lateral sides. Neoprene toe boxes in these Nike Snowboard Boots won’t let your toenails crack when landing land on hard pack snow conditions.
Zoom Force 1 Lace Lock Hardware
Traditional lacing systems can be found on these Nike Snowboard Boots. The Vapen has webbing loops and The Zoom Force 1’s perfect fit can be attributed to the lace locking hardware located in the transition zone for the upper and lower portions of the boot.

I don’t trust this guy!! He’s trying too hard to sell. The boot’s look OK, but salesmen that ram crap specs at me, really turns me off.

I purchased a pair of vapens and needless to say they are the worst snowboard boot i have ever worn they have left me on crutches from the intense pressure on my ankle after only a week, i understand they are meant to be soft flexing but i would have been better off barefoot, dont buy!
I don’t know what the last guy was talking about but the ZF1’s and Vapens are the two most comfortable boots I’ve ever owned. Once you break them in they feel like oversized Nike shoes, fitting amazingly half laced or laced up. I work at a ski resort, so I spend 4 out of my 7 days in snowboard boots for 10+ hours and I have never had a single issue with them comfort wise. They will start to lose their waterproofing after a couple seasons of continuous weather exposure, but that’s about it.
If you’re looking for a boot that’s form fitting, stiff where you need it, and most of all, comfortable, then I highly suggest the Zoom Force 1 or Vapen models of the Nike Snowboarding boots.

Nike Vapens are by far the most comfortable boot I’ve ever worn. Typically I can’t wait to get my boots off once I get off the mountain, but the Vapens are so comfortable I have no problem wearing them fully laced-up for hours after I’m done riding bc they are that comfortable. THey really do feel like an over-sized pair of high-tops.
The laces are terrible though. They will basically disintegrate in less than 20 wears. It’s nice that they give you two sets, but considering how shitty they are, they should give you 10. Regardless, the lace issue is worth dealing with considering how much I love these boots.
Nike Zoom Force 1 are sick boots. Mad comfortable while providing super support.
I had my doubts about Nike being able to do snowboard boots right, but I should have realized that Nike knows feet and have the money to get the game done right. I replaced my ThirtyTwos with Nikes and I’ll never go back.

Guys, are they going true to nike basketball shoe’s size or not?
I assume they use the same sizing platform across all sports.
Yeaah I second Andrei, I am wondering about the sizing. I wear a 8.5 in nike running shoes but I am wondering if they run smaller?
The length runs true to size, but the toe box width tends to be a little bit more narrow (more triangular) than most other boots on the market.
