K2 Lifelike Snowboard 2012

K2 Snowboards, Snowboard Boots, Bindings, Skis, HoodiesThis the K2 Lifelike. This board will challenge you to shred a better day. It is for the rider that does it all in a single day, because this is a freestyle oriented, all-mountain board. It has Flatline technology, meaning that this board is 100% flat, except for the nose and tail.

The Lifelike has Hybrilight technology, (less waste, more shred).  K2 has reduced the amount of waste and material in this board, because they have made the edges and the side walls a constant thickness that is very thin. They’ve pretty much reduced the core along those edges. It’s not going to sacrifice any amount of pop, because there’s Triax fiberglass, but we’ll get into that in a second. It does have Hyper Progressive shape. The tail’s going to be a little bit shorter than the nose, and it has Hyper Progressive sidecut radius. The sidecut radius is going to be a little bit shallower on its entrance and its exit, and going to be a little bit steeper in the center; causing for you to stay stable at high speeds, and smooth at low speeds. The stance is set back three quarters of an inch, and it does have a W2 core. There’s three different species of renewable wood in this thing, from tip to tail. The Triax fiberglass runs in three different directions; at 45 degrees and negative 45 degrees, and at 0 degrees.

What’s great about this glass, it has an additive; it’s called the Integrated Carbon Glass 10, the ICG, which adds a little bit of stiffness to this all-mountain board. What also causes the board to be a little bit stiffer than usual is the Carbon One technology. K2 has designed the carbon web to run from under your feet to the tips and tails of your board, causing a little bit more pop in that nose and in that tail. The base is going to be very high maintenance and very, very slick. It’s a 4000 sintered base. Awesome die-cut on the base as well. The base bevel is going to be one degree, and this is going to be the thing that helps you charge from top to bottom. K2 Lifelike, by K2 Snowboards.
