Today we are talking about the DC Park boots, which comes in this awesome Viking’s pride color way. That’s right, one boot is yellow, one boot is purple. Go Vikes! See you in the Superbowl, hopefully. The DC Park Boot has been a staple in their line for about four years now. As always, it’s a very reduced signature boot, very short toe-to-heel. Guys with bigger feet will appreciate that because they’re going to have less toe and heel drag with these boots.
Starting off, you’ve got a traditional lace setup, pretty straightforward metal hardware at the top. It’s going to be really durable, it won’t crack if it’s cold out or you’re throwing your throwing your boots around. It does have an air-bay in the heel, and then a full rubber sole. Which is a really good shock absorption, really good board feel. The DC park boot is definitely designed to look like a skate shoe.
You also have an articulating cuff, it’s going to separate the upper part from the lower part of the boot. It definitely allows it to flex on itself more like a hinge would. The boots that are solid, top to bottom, will tend to deform a little bit in the ankle strap area. This one will not do that. On the interior here, you’ve got a 3D molded tongue. Once again, it was meant to not deform when you get the tension of the laces applied to the it. It’s really good at sucking up against your shin and the top of your foot, giving you an increased heel-hold. This one will have their lace harness sewn into the boot. So when you tug on the liner laces, it not only holds your foot in the liner, but the whole liner back into the boot as well. Definitely better than the one’s that have the laces on the liner, in that case. Speaking of the liner, we’ve got their Bravo Liner. It’s their second best liner they make, definitely very, very high-end, super good right out of the box fit. It’s got a power strap at the top, which is going to keep your tongue nice and centered all day long, it’s not going to want to shift and twist on you. Trust me, it’s got really deep Achilles pockets, it gives you good heel-hold. It’s got directional nap lining, in the grey there, for you to hold to your sock in there and keep your heel from moving up and down. They do put the J-bars on this one, moving up into an even more stiffeners, just to help give it a little more support on those really, really big landings. The insole on this one is actually a tri-component, You’ve got soft rubber here with a hardware cage built around that to give you good arch support, also to keep your foot centered on the bottom of the boot. And in the heel, you get even more shock absorption. Like I said, it definitely feels like landing on marshmallows with these. A good park boot, by DC.
