Burton Ration Snowboard Review

By Published On: November 1st, 20100 Comments

This is a Burton Ration. This is part of the Double Chair Tier Series. It has a feel rating of a 3, and yes it is a camber board. It’s going to be a softer board for that jib rat, it’s for the girl or guy who likes to ride park, bonk and do whatever on their snowboard.

It is a twin shape and it does have a twin flex. It has a very, very soft Fly laminate wood core, with a negative profile. It has Biax fiberglass. The fiberglass runs in two different directions at 90 degrees and at 0 degrees. This Burton Snowboard also has and extruded base.

The edges are the grip and rip, ready to ride edges. What’s different about this board is that the edges actually don’t wrap 360 like most Burton boards do, for one main reason – because this board has something called Clip Tips. You are supposed to design your own shape. Just create your own design, swallow tail, fork nose, shark tooth, you are only limited by your imagination. Besides the Clip Tips it also has the Pro Tips, which mean that the tips and the tail gradually taper off reducing material and swing weight. And it also has Infinite Ride. This board has already been broken in by the machines at Burton.

Besides the Clip Tips there’s another cool jib feature. It has Flat Kicks. This board is flat right here. This board is flat right here as well, so you can get a nice, flat snap when you alley onto that tree or that bonk, and that is the Burton Ration Snowboard.
