2011 Burton Clash Snowboard
You are going to get more slash for less cash with the Burton Clash. This is part of the Double Chair Tiered Package. It has a flex rating of 3, so it’s going to be nice and soft. If you are looking for a board to advance your skills to the next level, the Burton Clash is the board for you. It has the EZ V rocker system, which is a continuous rocker system with a V-rocker in the center and gradual rockers on the nose and tail.
The Clash is a directional shaped board. The nose is a little bit longer than the tail and the tail will taper from 3-6mm, depending on the size of the board. The flex is a Twin Flex, so it flexes the same on the nose as it does on the tail.
The core is a Fly Core, which Burton has had forever. It’s a wooden core that runs tip-to-tail with a Negative Profile core. The Negative Profile core is a little bit thicker in the center and gradually tapers off to reduce material and swing weight on the nose and tail.
The Clash uses Biax fiberglass. The fiberglass strands run in two different directions – at zero degrees and at 90 degrees. It also has an extruded base that you will not need to maintain very often. It’s going to stay fast. It’s going to stay durable. And with the Cruise Control edges, you’re not going to worry about hanging up. It has a 28 degree slantwall, which everyone seems to love. A lot of the top of the line Burton boards have the same slant wall that the Clash has.
One of the extras this board has is the Cruise Control technology. It’s going to have a softer flex, and on this directional shaped board, it’s got a convex shaped nose.
