The Naish Kailua Windsurfer is an oversized beginner board that features a smooth scoop/rockerline that makes the transition from non-planing to planing as fluid as possible. This shape also makes it easier for beginners to handle stronger winds. A rounded rail shape offers more forgiving turning characteristics. To help sailors get upwind the Kailua features a retractable dagger board and a straight section outline to make it as easy as possible to point upwind. The EVA soft deck and thermoplastic bottom sheet provide maximum strength and durability while being comfortable. And for sailors who are not used to the foot straps, these boards use multiple strap inserts to fit different level sailors as well as the complete novice. It can also handle any manner of different sail sizes. The inside strap positions allow beginners to ride the board with straps without creating the catapult problem and advanced sailors can move the straps back for better handling and a more comfortable stance when riding with bigger sails or stronger wind conditions.
