Is the specs for the water resistance and breathability correct on this? Is it just that good of a jacket?

BEST ANSWER: It is a great jacket! It has only light insulation, so you may need an under later. DryQ is waterproof and breathable. I have several Mountain Hardware jackets and I love them all. It runs a bit small though.
