Dave, here at The House, talking about the
K2 Pulse snowboard boot. This is a really nice snowboard boot from
K2.
It features their Fast-In construction for the lacing, which you're looking at here. A single pull to get the snowboard boot tight. To get out, you just pull up on the tab, pull the tongue out, and you're out of the outer. Super, super nice. This one does feature a low profile, cupped, rubber sole. Really good at gripping icy, hard-pack terrain. From there, a full synthetic upper. It's, definitely, going to be waterproof. It's, definitely, going to be durable. It will feature a nice, three D, molded tongue. It's not going to deform under the pressure of the lacing system. It sucks in good to your shin really well. It hugs your foot really well.
And then, from there, you've got an articulating cuff. The snowboard boot's going to flex on itself, more like a hinge would. You don't get the bunching or crimping that you would in a snowboard boot that's solid all the way through. A nice heel-pull in the back is going to make it easier to get it on. That rolls into their liner, which is an Intuition foam liner. This pup is completely heat moldable. You can just wear it around the house. It's body heat active. Or, you can mold it in the shop, too. The laces are attached to the liner on this one. And, the pull-hard is, actually, attached to the tongue of the snowboard boot, which is really, really nice. It's not going to be sliding down under your ankle strap while you're riding. A quick pull on this one to release, the same thing as the outer. You just pull up on the tab, pull forward, you're out of it. Super, super easy on that one.
The insole on this one. It's just going to be a little shimmy, shimmy cocoa puff, here. Basically, just going to add a little more shock absorption to it, helps keep the foot centered. Keeps your foot from sweating like a banshee. The flex rating on this is going to be in between the two to three range. Definitely, I would say, you're looking at entry level to intermediate, all-mountain rider. But, definitely, a good snowboard boot for that purpose.
