  • "Good looking, good feeling"

    , Oulunsalo, OULU
Pros: feels good, looks good, no distortion Cons: didn't fit K2 rant perfectly,

I bought these goggles for my K2 rant pro helmet. First bad thing was that it didn't fit perfectly on it when set on the head. It leaves small cap at your fore head. but that haven't been disturbing much, and visor of the helmet also reduce how the gap shows outside. should had bought tried these on helmet before but it is fits pretty ok tough and looks good.

  • "very good looking + comfortable"

    , SAN FRANCISCO, CA
Pros: extremely good looking, comfortable + light weight, protective Cons: doesnt fit asian noses well, fogs up a bit,

Since my previous review for this product was marked as spam, im goin to write a more detailed review for this. I have the white one. I received alot of compliments from my friends (guys + grls) for its good look. it looks much bigger + better when cuffed on your face. the foam lining makes this pair of goggles highly comfortable. the cushion it provides is extraordinary that it somewhat protects you from head injuries. as a 2nd year snowboarder, i attempted a jump but ended up landing on my face (without any helmet); thankfully the first point of contact to the ground was my goggles, which provided alot of cushion and absorption of shock. I then landed on my chest. my lungs were so painful that i couldn't breathe for at least 5 seconds. i truly do believe the goggles saved me from a concussion, if not a head trauma! the goggles, however, do not fit asian noses well. there is a tiny little gap between my asian nose and the foam lining. however, the gap disappeared after a couple times of use... also, it fogged up a bit when it was snowing really bad. no fog was visible the other times i snowboarded in warmer weather tho. so i guess this pair can't really withstand the extreme snow and cold?

  • "Great goggles"

    , Bellevue, WA
Pros: comfortable, nice fit with giro helmet, great price Cons:

Comfortable googles and clear without getting foggy.

  • "Good goggles"

    , Nashville, TN
Pros: Very comfy, Easy to see out of, Cons: Fog up a little,

I took these to whistler BC, it was like 30'f and a lot of snow, it was slushy so they fogged up a little, but once I got on the lift they unfogged. Overall a great buy.

  • "Very nice goggle to go with Giro helmet"

    , DEER PARK, IL
Pros: good clear view, nice fit with Giro helmet, good price Cons: a bit wide without helmet,

Bought this for my wife to wear with her Giro Omen helmet. It fits very well with the helmet as advertised. If wear without the helmet, it might be a bit wide for narrow face.

  • "good goggles nice price"

    , FREDERICKSBURG, VA
Pros: large, great fit, comfortable Cons: not for night,

very good and comfortable goggles. just used them for the first time for the whole day, had to take them off at night though.

  • "Not too shabby"

    , TINLEY PARK, IL
Pros: spherical lens, comfy, Cons: moisture in lens,

Well I ended up picking these up due to the price they were at on here for the white ones i think it was a little more than $30 but as far as the goggles go they are extremely comfy, and they fit my face very well, similair to the eg1s goggles ive tried before they have a spherical lens, which to me is extremely important because it allows your peripheals to be so good my biggest complaint about these goggles is of the 7 times ive been out with them this season, twice they have had this wierd film on them and i cant use them at all during the night n during the day its kind of a pain, its not on the inside or the outside so I assume it may be moisture building up between the lens. I clean the lens every time right before I use them with glasses cleaner just to ensure they r clean but twice this 'film' has developed but its not like fogging up, its hard to explain. Other than that i think these goggles r excellent

  • "good goggles"

    , holmdel, NJ
Pros: good vision , fit good, comfortable Cons:

i just bought these goggles and they are great. they fit well with other helmets. the lens is really nice to. the price is great. i would recommend these goggles to a friend.

  • "Good goggle"

    ,
Pros: Clear view, Stylish, Cons: Large,

I have only used these goggles once on the mountain, but they performed very well! I am used to a smaller goggle (Oakley a-frame) so it was different but not bad. This goggle had a nice, clear view.

  • "Great Night Goggle!"

    , Pickering, ON
Pros: Comfortable, Great for night, Cons: A bit narrow fit/view,

I am generally pleased with these goggles. They're great for darker conditions. They are comfortable to wear as well. However, I find the profile to be a bit narrow. You would have a hard time wearing glasses under these goggles and there's not a lot of room for peripheral. I think they can be wider for future designs. Still, overall very good.

  • "Root Review"

    , Champaign, IL
Pros: Vent Well, Great Periph, Super Comfortable Cons:

I got these goggles a couple of seasons ago and havent needed another pair yet. They seem to do well in any light conditions.. blue sky.. dusk.. anything so far. Great peripheral vision and super comfortable. I also ride with a Giro G10 helmet and they fit perfectly as promised by Giro. Ventilation is great as well, I have yet to have a fogging issue with these! All in all I think they're a great pair of goggles and highly recommend them!

  • "Giro Root - Rose silver"

    , OAK BROOK, IL
Pros: Great snug fit, Good ventilation, Easy to adjust Cons:

I got the White/Light Grey with Rose tint right before hitting up Winter Park at the end of March of last year. These goggles fit really well with my Giro G10Mx helmet, and where super comfortable to wear all day (and we were on the slopes from first trails till about 4pm every day with no lunch break!) The Rose Silver tint was just perfect for the sunny days and versatile enough to ride into the evening. I did not have a chance to try them out with night boarding though. Overall, I don't think I'll be needing to get any new goggles for a while.

  • "nice goggles"

    , Baraboo, WI
Pros: good vision, comfortable, not as think padding as other goggles Cons: not as thick padding as other goggles,

These are good goggles. Straight forward goggles that are as solid of a choice as any other. The difference I've noticed is that the padding is not as thick as the Oakley's I own or the Smith's I've demoed. I'm torn as to whether is is a pro or con. Some days I feel like it's nice to have a sleeker simpler goggle that doesn't feel as bulky as my Oakley Crowbars. Other days I really prefer the plush feel the Oakley's provide. I like the fog resistance. It performs well all day.

  • "Good pair of goggles!"

    , Apalachin, NY
    Pros: Ventilation, Triple layer, Cons:

I wear these with smoked out lenses in the day time and they work great. I never wear them at night so can't really comment on that, but these are very comfortable and I would recommend them!

  • "2009 version are great"

    , Templestowe Lower, Vic
Pros: good field of vision (i have a small face), great fit, comfortable Cons:

Bought these late last season from here and love them. Great fit with my helmet and work fine without a helmet. They are similar in styling to Oakley Crowbars I found but without the price tag (at least anyway). Lens could be a bit more reflective and darker but they are just right for all conditions (tried in cloudy conditions the first day and no issues) No complaints, except now i can't justify buying more goggles :)

  • "Legit"

    , AIKEN, SC
Pros: Spherical Lense, Very Comfortable, Fits well with Giro helmets(don't own one yet) Cons: A little bulky off the face., My girl wants to steal them caz their so sexy!,

Great fitting goggles, demo'd a Giro 10 helmet one day and the goggles fit perfectly. Overall they are very comfortable, vent very well. Have great lenses, and best of all are greatly priced.

  • "Nice goggles if you dont wear a helmet"

    , ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, NJ
Pros: Look great, Comfortable, Cons: Don't fit well with helmets,

Bought these last year, they're great goggles, but didn't fit with my helmet, so whenever I wanted to wear my helmet I had to slip on a different pair. Still giving it 5 stars, but just be aware this may be an issue.

  • "Fits perfectly with the Giro Nine.9 helmet"

    , SAN JOSE, CA
Pros: Fits perfectly with the Giro Nine.9 helmet, wide viewing area, spherical lens Cons: bulky,

I demoed this goggle and was surprised at how well it sat flush with my helmet. It is attractive, but a bit bulky compared to some goggles, but didn't fog up and did its job well.

  • "Giro Root - looks great"

    , Heritage Park, QLD
Pros: spherical lens- wide view, VERY comfortable, LOOK GREAT Cons: My dog ate them - there that good!,

Very comfortable goggles, very clear lens with a wide view. Ventialtion works good

  • "light weight Giro"

    , Concord West, NSW
Pros: Comfortable, spherical lens, Doesnt fog up Cons:

I have a small to medium size face and these fit fine. The goggles are so light weight, that it feels like your not wearing any. The lenses are top quality giving you a clear defined view and it never fogs up. Only issue i have is its a little bulky on the sides, due to the design, but this is a very minor issue. the red looks totally awesome as well.

  • "Standard large-ish goggle"

    , basking ridge, NJ
Pros: Triple layer , Extended strap anchors, Cons:

This goggle will fit medium-to-large faces, as the frame is on the larger size. I've got an medium average-sized face, and it fits well; the large frame doesn't cause any fit issues, but actually is a plus as it improves peripheral vision. I paired it with a Giro G10, and the fit was actually quite good, but you might want to try it with your own helmet to make sure the goggle doesn't push the helmet up. The strap anchors are extended a bit outwards, and I think these help relieve pressure points a bit.

  • "Great goggles"

    , BROOKLYN, NY
Pros: Style, Fit, Cons: Runs a bit smaller,

Great goggles, lens are great, vents are good, love the style of the goggles. Runs a bit small on the face reminds me of the A frames. But still holds a great fit on my face, also very comfortable.

  • "nice fit"

    , Hoppers Crossing, Vic
Pros: fits with giro helmet, nice sleek design, Cons:

fits well with the giro helmet, sleek and simple design, not too flashy, what you want for a goggle

  • "Wide frame google"

    , kiruna, norrbotten
    Pros: Comfortable, Cons: Pricey,

Goggle with very comfortable fit and high quality lens. The frame is quite wide which gives a panoramic view.

  • "Solid Goggle"

    , KALAMAZOO, MI
Pros: Spherical lens, extremely comfortable, works well with a Giro helmet, aesthetically pleasing, nice deal on Sierra Cons: None at the moment,

These have been the best pair of goggles I've owned to date. The goggles are so well padded that it seems like they're floating on your face; you can almost forget that they're there. The spherical lens grants a fairly nice field of vision. And I haven't had any issues with fogging yet (I think that as long as you stay moving and take good care of the inside of your lens, you shouldn't have any fogging issues). My rose/silver lens worked nicely in sunny conditions. Finally, I think the Giro Root goggles look pretty sweet.

  • "Great Vision!"

    , Avondale Heights, Vic
Pros: Great Fit, Helmet Compatible, Cons: None Yet,

Just purchased the Giro Root Googles 2008. Not only do they look great on with its yellow/blue tint, but they feel really comfortable around the whole head. Recommended to anyone wanting to snowboard either with a helmet or without.

  • "Great Goggle"

    , SALEM, OR
Pros: Clear View, Works great with Helmet, Lense color offers superior vision in low light Cons: Still fogs if your not moving,

I have used this goggle for a season now and I think for the money they are amazing. Clear vision, fits my size face and doesn't fog if you don't stop moving. Great Goggle!

  • "Niceeee goggle"

    , LONG BEACH, CA
Pros: Sick lens!, Good overall quality, Perfect fit for my Giro helmet Cons: None so far,

Used it during day time..helped out a lot! I think it can be used during night time as well..it didn't fog up when I used it 4-5 hrs the whole weekend..Overall I'm highly satisfied with the product.

  • "Nice Goggles"

    , FREMONT, CA
Pros: no fog, great fit, Cons:

I got these for my wife, she loves it!! 'perfect' is the word she used. She did not have any luck on other goggles not fitting her small face and these goggles fit like they should.

  • "Giro Vision"

    , WHITE SALMON, WA
Pros: Lens clarity, style, helmet compatible Cons: May be a little small,

The lenses are incredible. The smoke color is very true to life without being too blue/grey. My eyes are sensitive and these are just dark enough on a spring sunny day. Fits well with my Giro 9 helmet. Maybe a bit small for my face. There is a bit of a blind spot when looking down at my chest but the clarity is awesome so I'll live with it at this price.

  • "clear view"

    , DIAMOND BAR, CA
Pros: spherical lens, comfortable, good ventilation Cons:

This goggle fits very well with my Giro Shiv helmet. They are comfortable enough that I forgot I was wearing them. Mirrored lenses mean no one can tell where you are looking. It never fogged up on me even when I breathed up into it through my bandanna. The spherical lenses really do make a difference in the periphery.

  • "eh..."

    , ATLANTA, GA
Pros: , Cons: they fog up, scratch easily,

I got me a pair of these last season ('08-'09), and I was not impressed. Styling is pretty bland, they still fog up even though they say they won't, even after i put cat crap in them, and they got a pretty big scratch in them only a week after I got them. Overall, not bad but I would definitely recommend looking at other goggles first.

  • "Good Goggles"

    , SAN FRANCISCO, CA
Pros: works well, looks cool, thick foam very comfy Cons: kinda small on my face,

Goggles works great when snowing. Lil bright on those all sunny spring days.

  • "nice goggles"

    , SAN FRANCISCO, CA
Pros: nice fit, cool design, clear vertical len Cons: none,

this is one of my many goggles, and let's me tell you it is worth the price, it have a nice fit and cool len color w a clear vertical len looks

  • "decent googles"

    , BOSTON, MA
    Pros: clean design, Cons:

no real complaints about this goggle. doesn't fog up on me and they fit well with my RED audio helmet. no spaces are left the make the top part of my face cold. i was expecting a little more out of my first spherical googles, the view was only slightly improved from my oakley o frames

  • "Amazing goggles for killer price"

    , Issaquah, WA
Pros: looks sick, no toll on vision, price Cons:

I got the Giro Root for $40 and they are one of the best I've used. It looks sweet and the performance is top notch. I've had it fog up on me a little bit, but that was most due to my poor care of the goggles. For a shopper looking for an affordable goggle without losing performance, this goggle is for you.

  • "Nice google"

    , Flushing, NY
Pros: looks good, Cons: a little tight,

The google is little tight for me, besides that, everything is good!

  • "nice goggles"

    , PORTLAND, OR
Pros: cheap, great for all conditions, Cons:

I use both gold boost and amber scarlet lenses which great for all condition. fit great around my nose which a plus. But the vision is a bit limited even though it's a medium goggles.

  • "Great Goggle"

    , Wellington, FL
Pros: Nice fit, No Fog, Cons:

Fit nicely and was very comfortable. Got red lens and worked really well on sunny spring days.

  • "Good Goggles"

    , MANASSAS, VA
Pros: Don't Fog, Light, Stylish, Cons: Didn't like the Dual adjustment system too much,

I bought the 09 Goggles in white, I have been looking into buying new goggles for a while now and the price was right on these. I am really happy with my purchase. The goggles don't fog up and I live on the east coast so we have a lot of snow blowers going all the time, which normally results in an icy film that sticks to the lens, but with the Giro Root it wipes off really easy. Which is nice, because I normally cannot see anything when I ride through the snow blowers!
