  • "Giro G10"

    , big lake, MN
Pros: Well constructed & ventilated, warm, Cons:

The G10 helmet well constructed and holds up to abuse. It is comfortable and warm for those long days on the mtn.

  • "Great stack hat!"

    , Lane Cove West, NSW
    Pros: Comfort, Ventilation, Style Cons:

I love this helmet, great lightweight build, good adjustment features and easy to use ventilation for when your head gets warm.

  • "Good Brain Catcher"

    , SAN JOSE, CA
Pros: Comfortable, Does the Job, Cons:

This helmet was lighter than expected and fit quite comfortable. Definitely go to the store and try one on first to make sure your fit is proper.

  • "Beanies are a thing of the past"

    , SALEM, OR
Pros: Good Ventilation, Ears stay warm, Keeps my head safe Cons: A little heavy,

Great helmet that has basically made beanies obsolete. Gives me more confidence to push myself in all areas of my riding. Keeps me warm and dry. Works great with Giro goggles. Only complaint is it's a little heavy.

  • "Sweet helmet"

    , Sydney, NSW
    Pros: Strong, Light, Comfortable Cons:

Excellent helmet. It's strong, light and comfortable. Love the adjustable air vents. Keeps you cool when you're riding hard and you can close them up when you're on the chair lift and it's getting a bit chilly.

  • "its okay..."

    , sacramento, CA
Pros: keeps you warm, Cons: pushes down on the back of my neck,

Wore this helmet three times already. I don't think its as comfortable as it should be.

  • "Giro G10"

    , Canberra, ACT
Pros: Comfortable, Warm, Good ventilation Cons:

Wearing the G10 is never an issue. It is comfortable and warm, and you don't really even think about it after the first run. The ventilation settings are also useful on those warmer days.

  • "Great"

    ,
Pros: nice colours, really warm, absorbs shock Cons: some googles fall off,

The only con is that certain goggles fall off when you're trying to put the googles on top of the helmet.

  • "good helmet, the headphones are pretty lame"

    , San Diego, CA
Pros: I like this helmet. Its my first boarding helmet, but I've wear other products from Giro and its the same good quality. Cons: Headphone attachment/model it whatevers. It "skullcandy", but i see that as a con, as the sound quality is subpar, and it just makes the helmet uncomfortable as it reduces the space on the sides and squishes my head a little too much.

  • "First helmet"

    , OPELIKA, AL
Pros: Easily adjustable for precise fit, comfortable chinstrap, quick and easy venting system. Cons: Cushion can make my head sore just above the temple, goggles push up just a tad.

Bought this helmet after hitting my head on a previous trip. First helmet, so wasn't sure how'd go. I'm a believer now. I would recommend to anyone looking for a helmet to look into Giro. The helmet adjusts with the roll of a finger and doesn't feel cheap like some of the smith helmets that I tried. Another selling point was the comfortable chin strap. Some straps felt way too coarse, and I could only imagine how bad they felt after wearing them for hours! I also liked how easy it is to adjust the ventilation; however, I don't notice that much difference when I'm riding. The only thing about this helmet that I find a little uncomfortable is the padding on the side of my temple. After wearing it for a while, my head feels tender where the pads push in. The helmet doesn't feel too tight when I first put it on, just after wearing it a while. I'm sure when it breaks in, it'll feel better.

  • "Get Your Giro On!!!"

    , Virginia Beach, VA
Pros: Lightweight, Warm, Comfortable, Well Padded, Steezy (Andy Finch Series), Adjustable Vents, Goggle Clip, Well Known Brand Cons: TuneUp Kit (bought separately) is defective after a couple runs (plug-in into mp3 player is faulty)

  • "One of the best helmet values"

    , basking ridge, NJ
Pros: Adjustable retention system, Adjustable vents , Cons:

I've owned or tried on several G10 series helmets starting from around 2006 or so. They've built a legacy of successful design, with some small incremental improvements or styling changes each year. They all come with adjustable vents for temperature management which is important because you want to be able to stay cool with your helmet on, and not be tempted to take it off when you start to warm up. The 2008 model offered on this site is my first recommendation to friends looking for a helmet. It's one of the earliest G10 models to offer the adjustable retention system, which in my opinion was the only critical improvement to be made on the G10 over the past several years. Since it's a little bit old, you get a great value. It'll stay on your head, fit well, and protect your head. And that's really all you need.

  • "good helmet"

    , WORCESTER, MA
Pros: comfortable, warm, good protection Cons:

After falling on my head a number of times and having to take a friend to the ER for a concussion many years ago, I decided a helmet was a must when snowboarding. This helmet is very comfortable, pretty light compared to my old one, and definitely makes me feel more secure when riding and trying out new tricks.

  • "Solid contruction and great fit"

    , Melbourne, Vic
Pros: Excellent lining, Enough vents, Warm earmuffs Cons: Earmuffs are a bit tight,

G10 is a great helmet that would please most people looking at a quality helmet. Excellent construction, nice lining, enough vents (but not as many as the Giro Fuse) and warm earmuffs. Found the earmuffs to be a bit right/squeeze on my head, especially with Tuneups (which are crap, stick with the regular earmuffs).

The-House.com Store asked: Why did you choose this?
William K: Great sale price with highly descriptive and sometimes brutally honest reviews. Sounds like a comfortable and well ventilated but warm helmet from a trusted brand. Jan 5, 2014
KCsweetie asked: The color is Matte Olive, but it looks black in the picture. Is is black? On other websites I see a matte black.

Thanks.
