If you're going backcountry this is the jacket to wear. The Foursquare Richardson has all the little bells and whistles to keep you warm and keep the powder out of the crevasses it shouldn't be in. It is incredibly warm with one of Foursquares highest ratings of insulation at 80 grams, but it doesn't make the jacket bulk which allows for easier movement while riding. And the Richardson has a very high grade of waterproofing and breathability at 10,000 that promises to keep you dry inside and out.
