    • "Didn't know what I had until I tried other boots"

Pros: Stiff, Cons: Odd toe cab,

I found this boot online for a crazy good deal and decided to pick it up even though I already had a pair of new boots. They fit a bit small and were very tight. The first time I rode with them was at Jackson Hole when it was -30 out and everyone was queued up for the lift. Bad time to break in a boot cause I couldn't feel my toes for the rest of the day because they were so tight. The toe cab stabs down and cuts off circulation. That said, they are now comfortable once broken in. The amount of control these boots offered over my original boots is extraordinary. Every touch of my toe or heel is translated onto my board. My other boots are mushy in comparison. Last week I forgot my boots at home and had to rent a pair of burtons, and holy cr@p were they terrible in comparison. It felt like I had to throw my back leg around the mountain to turn since the toe and heel movements were muffled, forcing me to push harder to turn. Getting back into my Forum Shepherds was a wonderful reprieve, giving me the ability to rip through trees at high speed and corner instantly without any lag in the boot. Everything is perfectly tight and in place, and this is my second season riding the same boot.
